Talk about a slap in the face of the UN and all other countries sympathetic to Iraq. Hmm........

You all might want to say an extra prayer of support for the members of the Lincoln Carrier Group -- they were due back into port in San Diego several weeks ago but were delayed in Australia for some repairs and now being deployed to the Gulf.

My brother is on the Abraham Lincoln. He's supposed to be home, planning his wedding. Sigh.

There can now be little doubt that we are committed to war in Iraq. There's no backing down now. Either the regime in Iraq is going to change or the U.S. will see a new president on January 20, 2005.
My money is on the regime changing in Iraq. Good luck troops!

God Bless your brother, and keep him safe. As well as all of our troops.

My daughter who is in the Navy was supposed to take a friend of hers to meet her husband returning with one of the flying squadrons. Another one of her friend's has a wife on-board with the sqadron from North Island as well.
My prayers go with these men and women because they were on the way home so it must be doubly hard and a special one for your brother and his fiancee!
Time to get this action over and done with and throw Sadaam out of power!

one of your pictures of a ship, is requesting a SSL certificate to be passed that has a problem identifying itself... it SAYS its a us military source, but the certificate does not match...
doesn't mean anything... except that if YOU did not get that message upon access, you have accepted that certificate without it matching its alias or name space...
It was the center picture, as far as I can tell...
fwiw...cvn72.navy.mil is the domain...
To: Robert_Paulson2
Yeah - it looks like the webmaster for the Lincoln's site hasn't updated his certificates appropriately. Too bad, too - that's a pretty good shot of the ship in a high speed turn.

After 9/11 and the continuing terrorists threats the U.S. has recieved, it is now clear that you will be fighting for the future of this country and the future of its people. God speed.
To: blam
It looks like March at the earliest to get these units and ships in theatre, exercised and prep'd.
What happens or doesn't happen at the UN is irrelevent. This force cannot be kept in place indefinitely and standing down would be an admission of defeat. The decision has been taken. FWIW, I predict France will participate and Russia, China and Germany will stand aside so as not to be rendered irrelevant.
Godspeed to all soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines for swift victory and safe return.

Speaking of the Connie, didn't she get laid up for repairs?
They're moving her out quick time!

Corollary to the Ann Coulter rule:

Speaking of the Connie, didn't she get laid up for repairs? I think so, and they fired and replaced the skipper and a whole bunch of officers and chiefs to boot!
