ST. GABRIEL - Allie "Bo" Johnson Jr. will have to wait two more years before coming home.

Johnson, 47, is serving time for shooting the man who molested his then 12-year-old daughter in 1998.

The Parole Board denied his request Friday in a hearing at Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel.

Many people think that LA is a "tough-on-crime" state. Such a view is inconsistent with what happened Friday before the LA Parole Board. Notice that the molester was quickly released from prison, but the shooter remains behind bars.

Johnson should have been an illegal alien. Then he would have been rewarded.(free schooling, free medical?)

"The day after reporting the crime, the Johnsons lured Spears to the woods where Allie Johnson shot him in the neck."

This is where the guy screwed up. He should have found found the guy on the street immediately after the crime and KILLED him. A temporary insanity plea would have fixed it in court. What he did was premeditated and juries tend to frown . Personally, had I been on the jury, I would have given the guy a medal and a new box bullets.

Any chance the governor would step in and do clemency?

How did they find a jury to convict this man? I remeber seeing on tv a story about a man who waithed at airport payphones to ambush his daughters molester. When the molester passed (the molester was in police custody en route to another jurisdiction) The father turned and shot the molester dead. The prosecutors did not charge because a jury would not convict a father in that situation.

If someone molested my child, I would do the exact same thing as this man, except I would be convicted for a much harsher crime. Instead of just shooting the molester, I'd torture him before hand.

This guy shouldn't have gone to prison in the first place.

His mistake was in not having a shovel with him.

Although legally wrong for this father to take justice in his own hands, I feel that he was more than justified from an emotional standpoint.

Any monster that would treat children the way this man's "victim" did deserve to be treated like the monster they are.

Actually, it was his son's molestor. The man was the karate teacher and molested the son. The father shot him dead.

I was roasted for saying on the Clara Harris threads, that you have an inherent right to kill "a man who needs killing".

Where are all the "conservatives" who were yelling "Murder is murder and deserves the death penalty on the Clara Harris Threads?

Are they gonna claim this man should be put to death, or pardoned and given a medal?

Instead of putting him in jail, they should have given him a medal.

When dealing with the spawn of Satan:

1. (Censored, no violence please.)

2. You need a shovel too.

"a man who needs killing"

You're equating a cheating husband with a child molestor?
And you're equating: admitting one premeditated shot with running over 3 times with a car, parking on the body, then claiming innocence?
And you see no problems with a child molestor getting reflexively paroled out of jail before a protective father?

Interesting. Now I can see how Louisiana found their jury.

You see, there's this funny little habit of courts to look at the circumstances of every crime before sentencing. Hunting down a cheating husband and hunting down the person raping you preadolescent daughter are slightly different in the real world. However, in terms of rigid bright-line rules I guess you're right. Shall we also arrest our troops in Iraq after they kill some terrorists in an ambush? Just asking.

NO.

My point was that there is a difference between killing and murder, and that we have a lot of people on FR who think any killing not doen by the police or the military is murder. They are wrong. There are a lot of cases where a killing is just a killing, not to be punished as a crime.
