OK What are the Top 5 roles of James Earl Jones?...need some Blockbuster ideas!

In no particular order:

1. Field of Dreams.
2. The Hunt for Red October
3. The Lion King (he's the voice of Mufasa, Simba's father)
4. The Sandlot.
5. Conan the Barbarian

And although it's a pretty cheesy movie, he was great in "Soul Man", as a no-nonsense, non-PC black college professor who refused to give "affirmative action" breaks to his black students, because that would do them a great disservice in preparing them for jobs in the real world. Sample quote from that role: "Mr. Watson, I am not a humorous man, but if you insist on taking up my class time making jokes, please see to it that they are funny."

He was also great in the fun film "Sneakers", although he doesn't appear until the end. He plays Abbott, a very high government official. Sample dialog:

Whistler: "I want peace on earth and good will toward man."
Bernard Abbott: "We are the United States Government. We don't do that sort of thing."

I've always liked him. I love his voice and when he plays in a movie he usually comes off as a real person.

Jerrold Nadler isn't Jabba the Hut, he's Cartman from South Park. Looks and sounds just like him. Whenever a conservative says something that makes sense, Nadler grimaces and says "screw you guys, I'm going home." But I heard Nadler got that Carnie Wilson stomach-stapling operation, so he may not be Congressman Cartman for much longer. But he'll still be a liberal tool.

Three of my favorite JEJ performances (among many):

1. Field of Dreams

2. The Sandlot - ("I take that back. You're not in trouble. You're dead where you stand."

3. The pilot episode of a series ("Gideon's" ... something ??) about a prisoner (JEJ) who is released after having been wrongly imprisoned. When he walks out of prison, blinking in the sunlight, he goes to a hot dog cart, and like a kid, has the vendor add more and more condiments to the hot dog. The straight-from-the-soul belly laugh and sheer appreciation of that hot dog was a masterpiece of bringing a role to life.
