"We've come across signs that U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston is on the verge of announcing for U.S. Senate. Chauncey Robinson, chairman of the Georgia Black Republican Council, said he'll be campaigning for the Savannah congressman. Robinson is committed to raising $50,000 in cash, and introducing Kingston to black entrepreneurs in that 18 to 35 demographic range."

Also in the article . . .
But our eyebrows did shoot up at Monday's endorsement of Isakson by Bob Barr, the former congressman who's trying to win Isakson's 6th Congressional District.
It looks like Barr will endorse Isakson for the Senate in return for Isakson's endorsement of Barr in the 6th district Republican primary.

Hey, watch what you're saying . . .
This is great, I knew Novak & Woodruff were full of crap with the whole "House Pubs are discouraging him from running" bit. Well, okay, they probably were (Hastert is a RINO-lover) but why would Kingston listen to them and pass up a senate seat?

Kingston is one of the few good Republicans, who actually believes in the Constitution and limited government.
We could certainly use ONE in the Senate.

Hey now, there's plenty of good senate Pubs. Well, there's some. Brownback, Santorum, Talent, Sununu, Kyl, Bunning, and some of the folks with safe seats like Sen. Craig Thomas of Wyoming. And I'm sure there are a couple others, but sometimes it's difficult to tell who likes pork and who really really loves pork.

I support Kingston totally, but I'll take Isakson as a second choice easily. Either would bring us the seat.
To: GraniteStateConservative
Again, there's nothing wrong with Isakson. I have no problem with him becoming the next Senator... from Vermont, Massachusetts, or Hawaii... just not Georgia.
