“Prior to each game throughout the 2002-03 season, Toni Smith, a senior forward on Manhattanville College’s women’s basketball team, has chosen to turn away from the American flag during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner."

Instead of the news media making her the newsworthy "piece" let's get the name of the real HERO of this story. Jerry Kiley,who not only fought for our freedom, but had the courage to face this little dim-witted twit on the basket ball court with "Old Glory!" Help me. Let's roll!

Sorry if it looks like the college pres made the statement to make Jerry Kiley the hero. His statement is in the quotation marks. Let's make Kiley the hero is my opinion!
(Been on FR for a long time and still make mistakes, but I appreciate being allowed to voice my opinion!)
