The 62-year-old actor helped lead a "Virtual March on Washington" last week that flooded the White House with thousands of anti-war e-mails and has spoken out against the potential war in public.
NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks told The Associated Press Sunday that she knows of "no concern among top management at NBC regarding Mr. Sheen's stand against the war or fear that it could impact the show."

"...top network executives have "let it be known they're very uncomfortable with where I'm at" on the war" These people will eat their own in a millisecond...

But... but... a majority of Americans opposes Bush's war for oil. So how could such a popular stand hurt The Left Wing's ratings?
To: hoosierskypilot
I'm shocked, I tell ya! Absolutely shocked!
He didn't figure this out back in September? Does he know that the contract for the show ends this year, and they may not get renewed because he has turned off OVER HALF THE COUNTRY?
Then here's his "stupid" sign!

Look for the cancellation of Babs Streisand's step-son's television show, Mr. Sterling.

Hey, sign me up. But, I wouldn't watch after the first time I saw it because it was a flaming leftie show. In fact, I'd probably boycot most sponsors if I knew who they were. Sheen may be costing the show but he is only part of the "Left Wing" problem.

Yeah Mr. TV President, if you're constantly telling a majority of Americans that they're a bunch of ignorant peasant yokels blindly following their king, people might decide to watch something else. You might be too stupid to realize it, but your employers do.

Think they will start watching "Law and Order" with former Senator Fred Thompson? Who endorses the President...
Bruce Willis, who called the President offering to join up to fight for America has a new movie out called "Tears of the Sun" which looks well worth seeing.

He's on a TV show?

This consumer has never watched the show. Nor do I plan to, since his stance on so many issues is completely out of line. In fact, if it weren't for the History Channel, I wouldn't have cable at all. It just isn't necessary anymore, as there is very, very little worth watching. I do like The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy and a few others on TV Land. Hollywood went off the deep end a long time ago.

Sheen...told the Los Angeles Times for a story Sunday that the show's staff has been "100 percent supportive"LOFL, surprise, surprise!
Pity I don't have tv. Then I could boycott the show.
I do have TV and I have never seen the show. Frankly, when I saw the thread title I was surprised to see the show was still on the air. Anyway, the good thing is that this kind of show does not lend itself well to syndication so once it's finally buried, the public won't be suffered its presence again on TV Land.

Mr. Sheen seems to think that the First Amendment only applies to Hollywierdos. We peons, apparently, should listen and follow his advice and shut up about it. Sorry, Charlie. You have the right to speak your mind; we have the right to turn off your teevee show--and write to the sponsors to speak our own minds. Live with it.

Maybe, he knew it was likely to be cancelled. By doing all this anti-war stuff, he can claim that it was cancelled because of his politics, not because it had lost viewership on its own lack of merit. Ed Asner used exactly that excuse when Lou Grant was cancelled 20 years or so ago.

On a wonderful Wednesday in November last year (immediately following a wonderful election day), a friend at work said she was going home to 'watch the west wing where the democrats win'.
We both had a good laugh. My understanding is that the show is quite liberal...
