The top-rated city in the United States was San Francisco, which placed 20th, down from 18th last year. WHAT!!!!
We finally passed a law making it illegal to defecate in public and we drop in standing?
So these guys liked SF better when one had the freedom to express himself by defecating on Market St.?
Guess we better recind that one.
San Francisco is a beautiful city to visit for about two days, period. $1500 a month will rent you a termite-infested, smelly 1000 sq ft apartment. Parking your car will cost you another $500 to $1000 per month. If you're lucky, you might have a washing machine in your building--otherwise, you have to haul your laundry to the corner laundromat and spend hours watching the machines, so no one steals your clothes.
But compared to how most of Europe lives, I guess these living conditions are considered good.
