If I'm in the wrong part of the board, please forgive me (I'm new here). I'm looking to see if anyone knows of any rallies in Los Angeles to support our troops and to show that not all of Los Angeles is full of idiot celebrities. I'd appreciate any information or any comments from someone willing to organize such a rally with me.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Announcements; Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events; US: California; War on Terror

You must have missed the
rally last Sunday. Contact some of the LA area Freepers on that thread and they can probably give you the gouge.

John, look forward to seeing you at:
RALLY FOR AMERICA! SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!
SUNDAY - March 23, 2003 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm outside the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland
Who upholds the PRO-AMERICAN tradition of REAL ''stars'' like John Wayne, Bob Hope and Elvis?
Mel Gibson, James Earl Jones and James Woods?
Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen and Janeane Garofalo???
''What would JOHN WAYNE do today?''
He would SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, Pilgrim.
VOTE with your DOLLARS.
Demand more responsible actors.
The anti-stars do NOT deserve an Oscar.

Hi, John - If you would like to join us TOMORROW - the LA Chapter of Free Republic will be meeting for pizza and PLANNING at Bob J's house.
Please let me know if you can attend, and I will FReep-mail you back the exact directions.
Our NEXT big pro-USA rally will be at the Academy Awards in Hollywood on SUNDAY, March 23. Also upcoming will be an all-day "Activism 101" seminar at the HACIENDA Hotel near LAX on SATURDAY, April 26, and the Armed Forces Day parade in Torrance on SATURDAY, May 17.
SOONER than that are pro-USA rallies almost every Saturday - near the South Coast Plaza - at Bristol & Anton in Costa Mesa - run by the College Republicans - but CHECK FIRST for details...
Call me some time, and we can talk:
RonDog (you have FReep-mail)

Hey great. I saw the French Ambassador to the U.N. on the tube today, and this guy looked like a deer caught in the headlights. His statements were almost desperate to get people to "understand their position", my term not his.

I'm sorry, but I can't condone you be-fouling the streets of Los Angeles with French Wine... this city is polluted enough already :)
