Just got back from a Support our President/Support our Troops rally in Ventura (Southern California). About 75 of us showed up. Tremendous response from drivers - lots of passionate honking and thumbs up. Organizer said he couldn't get any interest from the press because it wasn't a "pro-peace" rally. A photographer from the local newspaper did show up so I am hopefully it will go into tomorrows paper. All in all, a very positive experience! There are lots of us out there!!!

No, dang it - I didn't think to bring my digital camera. What was really cool was that our horn-honking supporters cut across every social/economic/ethnic/racial/age/gender/looks line. It was really a universal support and quite heartwarming.

Press was only interested in the pro-Saddam rallies? That isn't journalism. That's pure propaganda.

Evidently there is a regular Pro-Bush/Pro-Troops rally at the Ventura Government center on Sundays at 11:30. A husband and wife started it with just 2 people two weeks ago. Now there are 10. I hope to go next Sunday and will let you know. They said they couldn't get any interest from the press either.
