RALEIGH, N.C. -- War protesters held several events in the Triangle over the weekend as the U.S. moved closer to a possible war with Iraq.

A large group rallied near Brightleaf Square in Durham on Saturday. In a symbolic gesture, the protesters lined up plastic bags signifying body bags - stressing their point that toppling Sadaam Hussein isn't worth American casualties.

Not surprising Andrew Pearson was there. He was a campus liberal big-whig back when I was at UNC. He's also a former manager of the Independent (read Communist) Bookstore in Chapel Hill.

If protesters step up their disobedience, that might include disrupting you when you try to buy gas.

Oh, that's not a good idea. Me, for instance, I am SO CLUMSY. What if I accidentally splashed gasoline all over the protestor who was getting in my way?

I love the "Oh, by the way..." treatment of the support rally.

There are only two reasons why I watch WRAL. The lovely and talented Debra Morgan and the "O" Fischel weather forecast.

KEY!, Mebbe these guys can hang themselves off the I-40 overpasses during the morning rush?!

Little weights tied to their feet so they don't flap in the breeze...

Maybe I'll show up at one of their rallies. I should be able to blend for a bit. I'll see how many notice the peace pin I have that says Peace Through Superior Firepower that I picked up via a member of ar15.com. :)

I ordered a t-shirt that says "Peace Through Superior Firepower" from Front Page Magazine. Can't wait till it comes.
