it wasn't the terminology he used, it was the fact that he was asserting that the American Jewish community determines US foreign policy. that is offensive and clearly erroneous. unless you are of a mind with Pat Buchanan. Hmmmm... I wonder what business the Jewish and pro-Israel lobbies are into? Aren't they paid to steer U.S. foreign and domestic policy in a way that's advantageous to the 'Jewish community' or the state of Israel?
And, he never said 'determine policy', he probably implied 'influence policy', which happens to be the case.
He has nothing to apoligize for and, if he did, he is probably as big a cowardly idiot as Lott was after his joke-telling 'indiscretion'.

of course that is what lobbyists do. Moran implied a but/for relationship which is erroneous and offensive. and as BradCloven pointed out, has no bearing on reality, since the percentage of Jews supporting the war is MUCH LESS than that of the general populace.

With those views, please don't ever vote Republican again. We neither need or want your support.

"I wonder what business the Jewish and pro-Israel lobbies are into? When that coincides with Israel's right to exist they also support Israel. But blanket support of Israel is secondary. If they had to sell out Zion in order to implement socialism, I'm pretty sure they'd go for socialism.
Of course I may be biased. While my BUSH bumper-stickered car was parked in the secure lot at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, nails were punched in my car tires five days in a row.
