Just asking him to NOT RUN again is NOT good enough!!

Where is the outrage? This is the epitomy of hypocracy, in that the Dems SCREAMED like BANSHEE's when Sen. Lott said something that wasn't even as clear in its intent!!!

The wonderful thing about this is that it ain't going to happen. From what I understand this guy is a real douchebag. He's bankrupt, he has assault charges he's dealing with, and he got a divorce, and he desparately needs his congressional salary to stay alive. So it doesn't look like he is "going softly into that good night" anytime soon. Which will prove what kind of crud fills the RAT ranks. Priceless PR for the Pubbies if we can get the news out.

I'll be watching Dan Rather for this story tonight...........NOT!!!!

About time. What's really annoying about the Democrats is that they do nothing but to obstruct, obstruct and obstruct.

I agree, not good enough! I can't believe that Lantos, with his background is not more vocal on this.

An American by choice, Tom Lantos was born in Budapest, Hungary, on February 1, 1928. He was 16 years old when Nazi Germany occupied his native country. As a teenager, he was a member of the anti-Nazi underground and later of the anti-Communist student movement. Tom was awarded an academic scholarship to study in the United States, and he arrived here in 1947. He received a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle and later earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Moran is a Virginia rep but when I heard him interviewed on Fox today he sounded more like he's from New England.

He has serious baggage. Questionable financial dealings, domestic abuse, assualting an 8 year old accusing him of trying to steal his car. Now this Jewish comment. It seems to me he is ripe for the picking in '04 if the R's want to fight for the seat.

Moran is Ranking Member of the Legislative Sub-Committee of the Appropriations Committee.

Pelosi should force him out of that leadership position. Immediately.

Those same six Democrats would, I believe, donate to the Moran reelection in 2004. It's just for 2003 that they think he should not run, but there is no election in 2003. I predict that the people of VA will never tire of Jim Moran. A wonderful Republican woman opposed him several years ago, Mrs. James Miller, and she was creamed in this heavily Democrat stronghold.

Hey, guys...if you can't support his campaign for office...how the heck can you support his holding the office?!

Now nearly good enough, dimms; not nearly good enough.

the six House Democrats said that Moran's comments "violate the basic standards we hold ourselves to as Democrats."

===========================

That is hillarious. What am I missing here? To what standards do the RATS hold themselves? Not allowing a rapist to squat in our White House? Proving that perjury by the chief law enforcement officer is punishable?

First off.. it depends what these folks said to Lott. If they didn't say anything at all.. well that's fine too. The point is they for once are acting like professionals. We have too many idiots mouthing off on emotions. It's good to see these 6 people bat down one of their own in a calm professional manner.

Moran is really from Conn. He slithered down to Alexandria and started on his long and miserable political career. He was forced to resign even as Vice-mayor. He has a very long and sordid history in this town and the only reasons that he continues to be elected are that the republican house redraws the districts to heap all the loony liberals into one pot and give them one pathetic district--the 8th, and no one ever fights dirty with him--no one mentions the wife beating, all the arab money and links to hamas, the pushing around 8 year olds, the yelling at women in grocery stores, the 100% ratings by NARAL and then running off to Mass, the chicks getting into hair pulling contests in his front yard, etc. etc., not to mention the funny loans....

A wonderful Republican woman opposed him several years ago, Mrs. James Miller, and she was creamed in this heavily Democrat stronghold.

Demaris Miller went up against him twice that I know of ('98 and '00 - I volunteered for her campaign in 2000). She even had Alan Keyes come in for a fundraiser that year and lost by about a 2:1 margin. I have no doubt in my mind that the Dems would not be calling for him to step down if this district were even remotely competitive.

You're probably right. Virginia is down to two majority RAT districts. That's not bad out of 11 and considering all the federal gubmint employees that live in that district.

Moran is a corrupt, violent, wife-beating thug. There were a zillion ways over the years he showed himself unfit for office and the Democrats always covered up for him. It'll be interesting to see if this finally pushed it over the edge, but so far he's not getting anything like the coverage Lott got.

See http://chblue.com/Aug1999/081799/criminalclass2-081799.htm.

What I am amazed about is that none of the major news channels are covering this. Now yeah maybe there will be a mention here and there but when Trent Lott was indited for what something he didn't even implie it was on 24/7. Even the "Great" Fox News isn't on this as they should.

controversial comments about Jews

He should step down.
Trent Lott showed great honor by doing so, even though the democrats "divined" his intentions. The intentions of this man were blatantly obvious. He hates the Jew.
