Sorry Dude... but the military community in Munich is GONE. We're under 55,000 troops in Germany now, and at any given time.. half of those are in Hungary, Bosnia, or Kosovo (or other places, further south at this point.

Cheers!

sorry, I don't know the answers. I don't follow the charts, just thought it would be interresting to watch.

I figure Landslide has been out a while, and is likely past it's peak.

Keep your eye on 'Soldier' (new release and moving up strongly) and the album. Both were very strong before the remarks; if they start to drop quickly, it will be due to backlash.

OK, now I can understand radio stations dropping their songs, but I think it crosses the line when the stations take it out on the girls personally. Apparently, one radio station--the call letters are KFC; I don't know where it's located--has actually started torturing the Chicks (see below). To me, this is too much.

Mellancamp: "What is the thought process to take a human's life? What would be the reason to think that this is right?"

If he REALLY wants the answer to those questions, he needs to ask Saddam and his ilk.

On Amazon.com, two days ago, the Chicks' latest album, Home, was at number 5; yesterday -- 4; today -- 3. I'm not seeing a backlash there yet.

I just heard from some friends in Philly that WXTU 92.5 in Philadelphia has suspended Dixie Chicks music "for the forseeable future" and has replaced every Dixie Chicks slot on their schedule with "America the Beautiful".

I noticed that CMT played a Dixie Chicks video last night,

As is VH-1 Country. No shock there.

On Hannity's radio show yesterday he said that he had spoken with a senior staffer in the at Sony records who anonymously said that their careers are probably over now.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

"Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."

Just so you know, the rest of us are ashamed that the Dixie Chicks are from the United States.

Her apologies are hollow unless she starts each concert on the rest of the tour with a rendition of "hail to the chief", "God Bless America", and the "Star Spangled Banner".

In fact, the first war-related Vietnam-era hit was Staff Sgt. Barry Sadler's patriotic "The Battle of the Green Berets," which went to No. 1 in 1966.

Isn't the title of the song The Ballad of the Green Berets?

If Natalie really believed what she said the first time, why is she apologizing for it now? The little piggies living off her teat, i.e. her manager and her support staff are seeing their livelihood dry up before their very eyes.

If the Vichy Sluts were smart, they'd hightail it back here and deal with their problem before their next US concert in May. A lot of stuff is going to happen over the next two months, and the anger towards them is not likely to go away with press releases and tearful bits on the Country Music Channel.

Yes! They'll need a bank of American flags waving nobly too.
