Texas Instruments breaks new ground with its bundling of three technologies into a single chipset.

Back in September, I wrote a column lauding Texas Instruments for its breakthrough designs that reduced from four to one the number of chips needed to operate a cell phone. Looks like the company is at it again.

Some analysts believe that bundling functionalities such as the ability to surf the Net wirelessly while speaking on a Bluetooth headset over a GSM connection will spur growth in the market...

Will this combo be packaged in an attractive propellor beanie?

On a more serious note, I sure would like to have cheap wireless connections for stereo speakers, preferably with attached power amps. Wires suck.

Advent makes such a device. I bought the wireless headphones, then added speakers.

Yes, but what I have in mind is a dolby 5.1 transmitter and separate wireless receiver/amps for each speaker. I don't need loud anymore, but for those who do, Bob Carver once packaged a killer 400 watt stereo amp in a lightweight 7 inch cube.
