after action report: Berlin VFW rally to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS went off like clockwork!!

A great time was had by all!!

Freepers and lurkers and visitors from all over the state gathered to gethor to Support our Troops in Berlin Ct, at the VFW!

I showed up at 9:30 and started to set up my stereo and computer, to show a slide show of pictures that Freepers had taken of the Left-Wing Hippies protesting in New York City, San Francisco, and Washington DC.

Power was had through a set of plugs in the rear of the Post, and I went to work, finishing up aroung 10:00.

After that, I grabbed my HONK FOR OUR TROOPS sign and stood by the street, receiving hundreds of cheering onlookers who enthusiastically supported the sign and the coming rally.

Patriotic music was played onthe stereo, I bought a new copy of Lee Greenwood singing patriotic songs, and two classical music CD's of big band versions of Patriotic Songs.

Marine Corps League Commandant Dick Wearne showed up about 10:30 and set up flags and podium. The Marine Corps League was well reperesented today, and a debt of thanks is owed them for this rally going off without a hitch.

The rally has been over for several hours, and remaining Freepers went out to dinner at the Marriot. I just finished unloading my truck and re-assembling my stereo and computer to the stereo!

Freeper onafelice took a full accounting of people there, and she will post the updates. I will start uploading my pics to a web server, and pics will soon be available!

Oh, Yeah, we had about 250 people show up! :)

Here is the lot, right outside of the VFW where we stood at, this is the raly site when I arrived early.

Marine Corps League Commandant Dick Wearne showing up, getting ready to set up the American Flags used for our Pledge of Alliegence and National Anthem.

Freeper ETERNITY showed up for the last several rallies for the troops, here he is standing Road Guard duty with a Marine Corps Flag and a sign calling on all to Honk!

Freeper JWALSH07 and his lovely wife and Granddaughter show their patriotism, and also, read the sign, a Family member, Lt Brian Heslin is in Kuwait right now! Defending us!

This fine family came with a great flag: REMEMBER 9-11, with the WTC and the PENTAGON on it.

This gentleman is a FREEPER, let him sigh inhere, I fogot his name!! And, these are his patriotic daughters! You can bet they know how to shoot a pistol, too!

I had no idea you had arrived so early and did so much work before the start time of the rally! Sorry we weren't there earlier... I have to admit we stopped everything we were doing this morning when Tommy Franks had his press conference. We were running a bit late after that.

THANK YOU for all your efforts in coordinating this successful rally today! You gave another great speech, and I'm glad you spoke about the Judicial Watch info about terrorist connections. People standing around me listened to you intently... that info needs to get out there.
