Corporal Steven Airzee said: "The initial sight was a shock. We were trying to figure out what they were. You have to wonder whether the weapons inspectors have been there because they looked pretty big."Well, if it was considered a "Military Base", of course the inspectors did not go there. They were not allowed under the UN inspections protocol to check out any military sites.

Besides, the Americans planted all of this so the Brits would stumble across it. Isn't obvious? That's right. The FedEx labels were still attached.

If this story is true and that the Israel newspaper story is correct about the WMD, all of the coalition of the appeasers are going to look like fools. But, the one who is going to look the most foolish is Scott Ritter. He must be sh....g a brick. Not only will his defense of Iraq will be discredited, but the young children that Sadaam hooked him up with during his inspection days will come out.

Nonetheless, it may explain Russia's refusal to join the coalition. Putin may know more than he's let on. There are other understandable rationales for Russia's position in addition to that culpability as a supplier of illegal arms. Iraq owes the Russians a LOT of money. There are contracts with Lukoil for developing Iraqi oil fields. Iraq was trading oil in euros, not dollars. All of those benefit Russia. In addition, when we kick butt in Iraq (again) the desirability of Russian weapons on the world arms market will be dignificantly diminished.

cc: Blix, Chirac, Schröder, Putin. These guys all just didn't want to loose business, regardless of how many people die.
Like a socialist journalist, the important thing is the sharing of resources, forget how many have to die.

If reports of Russian technicians aiding the defense of Baghdad prove true, I am all in favor of arming the Chechans.

...the desirability of Russian weapons on the world arms market will be dignificantly diminished.Excellent point once again! No doubt there are multiple reasons, some more apparent than others.

I haven't read all of this thread but am frustrated by the obvious question...
Why isn't video of this site and every other similar site televised worldwide
as soon as it is found?
Are our leaders really that clueless?
We need to silence the sandmaggot apologists ASAP!
