Good.
(Considering the fabulous wealth he's amassed from America and American fans, he'd better support us!!!)

This ought to quiet down a few of my Canadian relatives who are being force-fed a virulent anti-war, anti-American diet via the majority of their politicians and ALL of their TV news casts! First I had to listen to them crow about getting an NHL Hockey player from my favorite US team, now I have to listen to them jeer President Bush and this "war of aggression." A couple of my really liberal Newfie cousins want to come down and visit for a week in June. I am seriously considering asking them to wait for a bit... after I got off the telephone with them the other night, it took my a couple of days to calm down regarding their words about Bush being a bully and too aggressive and the US wanting to rule the world, etc., etc. Aside of that and the love they have for Rosie O'Donnell and Hollywood (and a fascination of all things American) they are pretty nice.
I just don't know if I can stay civil in person (I was fine on the telephone) for a week if these subjects come up. Which they will.

I understand perfectly. My cousin Miles and his family from Hamilton, Ontario are coming out to visit me in June. I hope and pray that this ugly war is over and that Bush, Blair and the Coalition Forces will be vindicated.
I'd put off their visit if I were you. If you are anything like me, your blood pressure is already at dangerous levels.

Just rumors, but strange nonetheless. It's a little odd how an Edmonton guy fits in so well in New York, isn't it?

Wayne Gretzky is still the "Great One."

Now if only a certain Canadian basketball player who plays here in Dallas would come around.

Now if only a certain Canadian basketball player who plays here in Dallas would come around. While I don't particularly follow basketball, I was starting to gain interest in the Mavs because of their excellent playoff run last year, and because Nash is a fellow Canuck. No more, I won't watch that turd. He's stupid to think that his views are appreciated, he should keep his mouth shut if that's how he feels.

Gretzky is not a French Canadian name.

"The two Canadiens(lol) who really matter have weighed in."
If Guy Lafleur(a Canadien) comes on side as well, the Liberal Government may fall. ;^)

Well at leat Mr. Gretzky realizes his paycheck is in US Dollars, not Candian... I hope his words are sincere and not merely painted face.

Wayne Gretzky praised the efforts of U.S. President George W. Bush in the war against Iraq but shied away Monday from criticizing Canada's decision to stay out of the conflict. I absolutely hate the spin that is put in the first sentence of this article.
The guy came out in favour of President Bush...does he need to be pushed a step further to say 'Chretien is an absolute a$$hole'?
It's fricken' obvious to any reader..but Canoe wants him to say it so he can jeopardise his popularity amongst Chretien lovers in Canada (and we KNOW there are quite a few!!!)
Damnit! The guy plays hockey. Let him play it!

As far as people in Alberta are concerned, the only three people who matter have all come out in support of the U.S. -- Ralph Klein, Wayne Gretzky, and Don Cherry.
Well, there is one more -- If only we could get Ian Tyson on board . . .
LOL.

Gretzky has retired....no longer plays hockey.
But I can "be pushed a step further to say".....that "Chretien is an absolute a$$hole".
I really didn't have to be pushed, except by the Cretin himself.
