I'm glad you posted this. I was going to post a thread on it for those in South Georgia to see. I posted some info on the Florida board, then remembered those from Georgia can't read it. LOL

March 29, 2003 Operation Support Our Troops 12:00pm

Jacksonville, Fl. Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum, In front of the Veterans Memorial Wall, Adjacent to Alltel Stadium Lots of patriotic music, military and government officials to speak, color guards from the American Legion. It is an event to honor our troops, their families, our veterans and the Commander in Chief.

I am home with strep today but hope to be there with kids and hubby in tow along with church friends and co-workers.(@10 of us)

I have been choosing some material for signs and banners, but must admit that my judgement is a lttle impaired by meds...many of the things from other posts have me laughing (semi)hysterically, including "weekend in baghdad" and "belly girl". (It hurts to laugh)

I have heard that some of the wild storms we saw this morning may pop up Sat. afternoon (40% chance) Also, we may pick up some crowds from the boat show at Metro Park on same day. Do we have any info on parking?

I'm sorry to hear you are so sick. I've missed you. I haven't seen you around in ages. Hope you get to feeling better by Saturday. I heard we might get rain too. I'm ready. One thing I've noticed about living in Florida is to plan for rain. LOL We are using water proof markers on our signs.

We went to Kinko's and got a sign made. We had a good picture of our nephew getting into an Air Force plane, so we blew it up and we had them put "Thank You Todd" on it. The kids are making signs too.

I'm planning on being there with my daughter from Charleston, where they had a successful rally with Glen Beck last week.

I live in Gainesville, and SpookBrat has been good enough to volunteer to give me directions if I get lost (JAX is the Big City to us here in G'Ville).

Livius, since I'm not from here, I can't give good directions. Someone else is driving tomorrow and I'm following them. I know it's down town, so head that way and go towards the alltel stadium. The Veterans Wall is near there. I think we're going that way and we'll just look for a crowd of people with Red/White/Blue on. It's from 12:00 to 1:00, but we're going early.

I'll have a sign that says, "Thank You Todd" on it. It's my nephew in Air Force uniform, getting into a plane.

You can't miss me. I'll be with all the kids. :)
