Perhaps. OTH, if the report I posted at #17 is true, this could have been a warning to other busloads that the best they can hope for roadkill martyrdom.

It's not unthinkable that we'd go along with the "out of Iraq" story, to prevent calls to expand the war to Syria and/or Palestine, and corollary cries for a pan-Arabic jihad.

At this point I'm withholding judgement.

I heard that, too. But I also wonder how that could be proven *after* it was hit. Who said it was headed to Syria? Syria?
