[history]
Democratic strategist Donna Brazile says she backs President Bush's war to overthrow Saddam Hussein and wants her party's leaders to project a stronger message that they support what U.S. troops are doing in Iraq.
Miss Brazile, who managed Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign, said she is not happy with the way Democratic congressional leaders have handled the party's message on the war.

"I don't want to make any comment on the Black Caucus' position. They have their reasons. For many people this is a moral issue," she said. Yea, they feel morally responsible to score any political points they can in order to degrade the Republican Party, even if it means lowering morale of the fighting men on the field of battle.
To them, unity means getting ALL black people to despise Republicans. They couldn't care less about the country as a whole.
I have to give Mrs. Brazile a little credit though, evidently she's a little different than the anti Americans in the Black Caucus.

Good Lord. If Donna Brazile has to tell you this, you know you're in trouble.

To: kattracks
Donna should just throw in the towel and support President Bush. Party loyalties have no place during times of world crisis.

donna probably developed her 'support for the troops' from a focus group I know. They're probably the same focus groups the Black Caucus is seeing, hence the evident difference.

Anti American is as anti American does.

"I don't want to make any comment on the Black Caucus' position. They have their reasons. For many people this is a moral issue," she said. If Brazile can be so critical of Pelosi and Daschle, why does she give the Congressional Black Caucus a pass? Why is this any more of a "moral issue" for the Black Caucus than it is for Pelosi and Daschle?

What do you make of this?

If Brazile can be so critical of Pelosi and Daschle, why does she give the Congressional Black Caucus a pass? Why is this any more of a "moral issue" for the Black Caucus than it is for Pelosi and Daschle? Brazile is not concerned about the Democratic Party losing traction among black voters. She's just urging the leaders to get on board before the war is won, so that they can share in the credit.
Of course, if the Dems decide to follow her advice, they will appear doubly disingenuous. Not that such a perception has ever bothered them before...
