People always misunderstand Buchanan, because he does, as you mention, get much clearer in the original German.

He is The Greek Conservative. Where's Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder when you need him?

I like slicing up fresh mushrooms, artichoke hearts and an onion, crumbling feta and dried mint over it, and mixing it up in a dressing of lemon juice, olive oil, crushed garlic, sea salt, and fresh black pepper.

I can't say that I'm incredibly fond of veal myself. Something about the flavor (and don't even get me started on how much I hate venison).
Now, a nice Italian roast beef? Perfection.....

Hmmm, where's the menu for that Greek take-out joint?
You guys are making me hungry, and I have a sudden urge to go get a gyro and some baklava... ;)

My wife is making cous-cous stuffed lamb this weekend, with rosemary-baked potatoes, mint sauce (for her ... I can't stand the stuff), poached artichoke hearts with dill sauce, and feta/cucumber/onion/tomato/black olive salad with oregano/olive oil/wine vinegar dressing.
She's making the baklava that evening to have with our coffee.

Sounds a lot more appetizing than the Palis and Buchanan.
What did you say on the "Where's our ally" thread that got abused off?

"steadfast" in their resolve to send their kids off to blow themselves up in order to cause as many civilian deaths as possible. With religions like that, who needs devil worship?

I have a younger sister who buys PETA's line on veal (she's not vegetarian, but she does NOT like veal...).

Time for me to roll some grape leaves and serve 'em up with tabouli.
Since its lent, I can't do cabbage rolls or kubie, but that time is coming soon...
