Al-Qaida to use anti-war rallies as cover?FBI bulletin warns of security-surveillance tactics

WASHINGTON – Al-Qaida operatives may mix in with anti-war demonstrators here and in other major cities to secretly monitor security procedures around landmarks and buildings, the FBI warns.

According to an FBI bulletin obtained by WorldNetDaily, al-Qaida terrorists plotting U.S. attacks may employ "sophisticated surveillance techniques" to avoid detection by law enforcement.

These techniques may include using "video recorders" and posing as "demonstrators" to gather information about security patterns and procedures at potential terrorist targets, says the bulletin, recently distributed to law enforcement and military security personnel by the FBI Washington Field Office as part of the Awareness of National Security Issues and Response, or ANSIR, program.

"Al-Qaida operations have been characterized by meticulous planning, a focus on inflicting mass casualties, and multiple, simultaneous suicide attacks," the FBI alert says. "Operatives are highly trained in basic and sophisticated surveillance techniques, posing challenges for counterterrorism and security forces in identifying terrorist surveillance."

As the nation remains on high alert for terrorism, the bulletin advises the security community to be on the look-out for the following activities, which may indicate al-Qaida terrorist surveillance:

"Unusual or prolonged interest in security measures or personnel, entry points and access controls, or perimeter barriers such as fences or walls."

"Unusual behavior such as staring or quickly looking away from personnel or vehicles entering or leaving designated facilities or parking areas."

"Observation of security reaction drills or procedures."

"Increase in anonymous telephone or e-mail threats to facilities in conjunction with suspected surveillance incidents – indicating possible surveillance of threat-reaction procedures."

"Foot surveillance involving two or three individuals working together."

"Mobile surveillance using bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, cars, trucks, sport-utility vehicles, boats or small aircraft."

"Prolonged static surveillance using operatives disguised as panhandlers, demonstrators, shoe shiners, food or flower vendors, news agents, or street sweepers not previously seen in the area."

"Discreet use of still cameras, video recorders or note-taking at non-tourist-type locations."

"Use of multiple sets of clothing, identifications, or the use of sketching materials (paper, pencils, etc.)."

"Questioning of security or facility personnel." An FBI counterterrorism agent here says that although the bureau is not aware of any past cases of al-Qaida agents disguising themselves as demonstrators to gauge police response, they may use large-scale anti-war rallies here and in New York as cover for such surveillance activities.

The New York Police Department recently dispatched heavily armed SWAT teams to patrol buildings and tourist areas at random times to throw off al-Qaida operatives casing such sites and monitoring security patterns there.

If innocent Americans were to be killed by a terrorist attack aided by anti-American protestors, why would they care? As long as they have their "rights", screw the rights of everyone else.
They believe in "choice."
One choice. Theirs!
America isn't calling them facists for nothing.

This is where everybody gets in a fight about their "rights", but it has gone way past mere protest now. The organizers could have more than protest on their minds. Some cities are considering new laws on this. Hope they pass them!!

I noticed a fair number of police and military on guard in several parts of the city today. It looked more like antiterror precautions than antipeacenik precautions. But there's no question that the peacenik nonsense is distracting the police from more important tasks.

Another terrorist attack would help them politically.
Remember, when it comes to the left, it's all about power. Lives don't matter.

FOX --A group of Vermont teen-agers threw rocks at a uniformed female Vermont National Guard sergeant last week, in the latest example of a service member facing hostility in the United States.

More "peace" from the left wing....

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police officers are looking for someone who allegedly vandalized a North Park home because of the owner's political views.

The owner of the home, Stan Stafford, told NBC 7/39 that on Monday night someone threw red paint on his house, scrawled the word "fascist" on a Bush/Cheney sign in his front yard, dumped oil on his lawn, and left a note reading "blood for oil." His car was also broken into, and someone stole a flag from his roof.

Stafford told NBC 7/39 he believes the same person or people are responsible for all the damage. He said he thinks it may have started back during the 2000 presidential election when someone left notes criticizing George W. Bush at his door.

But Stafford said the vandalism incident has a silver lining. People with all kinds of opinions about the war in Iraq and President Bush have stopped by to speak out against the vandalism and to offer help.

Today, I was visiting with a Naturalized Vietnamese American, my friend. He and I, when together, discuss world affairs, and peculiarities... we both commented at the same time, how the communists have infiltrated and convinced these "peace protesting" youth across America, to speak out against our government. He could point out the communists, while watching tv., who we have now realized that belong or run A.N.S.W.E.R, and who mostly here in the Bay Area of SF, are based out of Berkeley, and out of Detroit, Michigan. The funding for these rallies has been traced, supposedly to them. He then told me that in Viet Nam, that is how the communists began with their campaign. With the youth. He stated that our media, with the exception of some on FOX, were all communist sympathizers! He saw many atrocities, including the betrayel of "Hanoi Jane" with the American POW's. The Vietnamese people were waiting for her in Saigon, hoping she would show, so they could "beat her up for her treachery." She canceled and came home.
We could all learn from a former resident of a communist nation. I will continue to beg him to write about this, for the benefit of our people. (He also noted all of the propaganda the teachers of our children, are spewing and sending home. I can vouch for this, as my kids repeat the discussions at home, and I have personnally heard teachers at the school!) Great post and thanks.

Me and several of my buds were hanging out together one weekend in Atlanta, Ga, on Peach Tree Blvd. We had just got back from Vietnam, after a tour of duty with the 173d Airborne Brigade (the same unit that just took the airfield in northern Iraq). Not doing anything, except waiting for our 2 friends to come out of the White Castle with some burgers & fries. We were suddenly arrested, thrown into jail (no rights read to us, no explanation) and finally were told--the next day-- we had been in violation of "The Safe Street and Sidewalk Act." Sound like something you might like to see happen?
We had military ID, told em we had just got back from Nam, no matter, hey...the ID's, they could have been fakes...right? No other charges--as we had not been doing anything. After a few days in jail, the MP's from Atlanta's Ft McPherson heard we were there--and came and got us out. We then returned to Ft Campbell, KY. The cops blatantly lied to the judge, said we had been "impeding" traffic going in and out of the burger place--which was a complete lie, they were total jerks. Incidentally, they all were wearing the American flag (as was I!).

This same thing happened to me outside the gates of Ft. Lewis in Tacoma during Desert Storm. It really demoralizes the Soldiers. But many in that town made up for the useful idiots by treating us all with tons of respect and admiration. I would end up having so many "rounds" bought that I couldn't keep up with it.

God Bless our Soldiers and keep guiding our President.

He could point out the communists, while watching tv., ...

Interestingly, the communists recognize us on sight as well.

Way back just before X42 started bombing the Serbs in support of the Islaminazi KLA crime syndicate, I went to a protest of Gore in San Jose. I had thought freepers would be there as well as some folks from KSFO, but it was mostly Serbs and International Something Or Other.

They had a stack of signs, including the one of X42 dressed up like Hitler. The rank and file were pretty friendly and shared their signs with me, but there was a small cadre of women (non-Serbs) International blah blah who were instantly hostile to me.

I was dressed in jeans, my jewelry consisted of small earrings and my wedding ring (they had plenty of big rings among them), and I was absolutely there in good faith to protest the Clinton/Gore rape of the Serbian people.

I was with them on the one issue we were there to protest so how did they know I wasn't one of them?
