I find the smallpox story has credence - at least there was a fear of it.
Because it was not "hyped" but handled quietly even more so.
Right after 9/11 there was a govt. inspired discussion about biowar - smallpox mentioned more than anthrax.
In the run up to the Iraq War II there were many preparations on the local level for a smallpox attack. Once major hostilities were over, the story died out.

One way to test the veracity of this story is to check and see how many of the lying crooked liberals in Congress made sure they were in line first to get a shot.
