Rally for the Troops!
Thursday, April 3, 2003
12 noon 4:00 p.m.
SmartTalk 590 KRLA-AM
will host
"Rally For The Troops"
Thursday, April 3, 2003
12 noon 4:00 p.m.
in The Market Broiler/AMC Plaza area on the north side of Ontario Mills Mall.
The Ontario Mills Mall is located at One Mills Circle, Ontario, CA at the intersection of Interstate 10 and 15.
Rally participants confirmed to date include
businessman Bill Simon, chairman of Operation Military Support.
A grassroots organization dedicated to supporting the men and women of the military,
Operation Military Support will give attendees the opportunity to "adopt" a local service person serving overseas
who is not receiving regular mail from home.
This boost of local support is certain to ensure that they can do their best
with the confidence that we in the United States appreciate their peacekeeping efforts.
Representatives from the US Army will be in attendance, and
local childrens performance troupe, Kids Are Music The All American Kids, will perform.
Day After Rain will be there performing as well.

Do any of YOU guys know how to contact any commanding officers?
From www.operationmilitarysupport.com:
|
|
To Overseas Military Commanding Officers We are requesting that overseas Military Commanding Officers send us names of Men and Women not receiving regular mail. When mail call comes we want every Military person to receive mail. A sign up sheet could even be posted in each barracks for them to sign up, but we realize that most will not admit that they are in this position and would like mail from a stranger. Please email command@operationmilitarysupport.com with the names and addresses of those who would like to receive mail from home. (Please note: If you are NOT a Commanding Officer, your email will be deleted, thanks for your patience.) The names that we have received so far are from Senior Chief Miguel Delgado in Kuwait. He has asked all Commanding Officers in his surrounding area to submit the names in Motor Transport Section, Aid Stations, Engineers Section, Field Mess, Armory and any other division. We have been lucky enough to connect with some Navy and Marine divisions and would like to hear from the Army and Air Force. We cannot make this a success without your participation in this program. We can, with permission, list your name as a supplier of names and send a message in your own words. Thank you for your support. Operation Military Support June Downum |

So, is the "Bill Simon" advertised above THE SAME Bill Simon that almost beat California Governor Doofus last fall?

it certainly is "The Man" Bill Simon who SHOULD have beaten Gov Joe Davis
He will be there live and so will I and some others you may know :)
He'd love to see everyone again and he really believes in this cause.

In order to have the maximum success at this and other rallies, we need to advertise them and get the word out. Put ads in the newspapers, advertise on billboards and TV. Why not have Limbaugh, Hannity and other radio personalities advertise the rally, have volunteers handing out flyers throughout the rally area and surrounding localities. Encourage people to speak at churches asking people to come to the rallies, send emails, there must be countless ways to get people on the streets supporting our troops, WE MUST DO THIS NOW, ORGANIZE FOR THE TROOPS, WE MUST DEFEAT THE ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATORS!!!
To: RonDog
You know I love a rally! I'm thinking about going to this one, but it is an hour drive to get to Ontario.
To: Cinnamon Girl; RonDog
http://maps.yahoo.com says it's a 65 minute drive for me, but I think they think I drive a Lamborghini Diablo.
Still, I've missed seeing the gang since the political season, so I'll try to make it, if I can wake up in time.

I hope someone hands him a Dixie Chicks CD to break for the cameras :)

...T'was a very warm Rally for our Troops in a very cool Ontario CA today.
...There was good TV Coverage from the combined Viacom TV Stations in Los Angeles KCBS Channel 2 -&- KCAL Channel 9. Their 4:00pm PT Story was a good one.
...Coming up ...KNBC Channel 4 -&- KABC Channel 7 at 5:00pm PT.
...Good to see lots of teenagers there carrying Patriotic Signs, babies wrapped in Red, White & Blue and grand parents wearing God Bless America Shirts while I got to Rap with OLLIE NORTH's Sister..!!
...America is finally growing up in Time of War....
...as the Enemy Within Sen. JOHN KERRY...
...calls for Regime Change in our White House.
Guess some people NEVER change...
no matter what..?

...KCBS Channel 2 continued to show its good TV Coverage of our Ontario Rally for our Troops Story during the 5:00pm -&- 6:00pm hours, nothing from KABC Channel 7 who was there while KNBC Channel 4 only aired a story about how the War had affected shopping at the Ontario Mills Shopping Center.
...Besides meeting some great folks there today ALOHA RONNIE was also blessed to be the first to shake an arriving BILL SIMON's hand.
...Gosh I'm old enough to remember when his dad worked in the White House for krimini's sake.

Heard about it on KCBQ; made it out there today, got to shake hands with the man who should be Governor, Bill Simon-asked if he would consider running against Boxer for Senate-all in all, had a wonderful time. Was definitely worth the drive up from San Diego.
...I really love the patriotic antenna ball!
