It's on our list. I understand that there isn't much interaction with the larger university, however.

Look into the CLEP tests.

I took them and skipped almost all of the grunt freshman English and math classes. Unfortunately my test scores didn't come out until I was already in a Freshman English class. I tried to drop it, but the TA was a total witch and proceeded to not only refuse to sign the drop slip, but started giving me C's and D's on work I had previously gotten A's on. I showed my CLEP test scores to the department head and brought my work and my final grade was changed to an "A", but I still had to sit through the classes...

AP tests work the same way. It got me out of 12 credits of basic history and public speaking, and allowed me to take a few classes that I really wanted to take, and still graduate on time.

I went to RIT

A quote from one of my RIT friends:

"RIT: Where men are men, and so are the women."

"I am unclear about what you mean about the ROTC officers"

Well, how successful he is in the Navy will depend in part on how successful he is within his NROTC detachment. Graduating as the top cadet, or second in command will open doors for him in the military.

Because of this, if he feels any particularly good vibes from the officers at either school, that's something he should take into account.

We have noticed over the past decade the increasing number of kid who take double majors, and the colleges differ greatly on how difficult that is to do in four years, and it also differs depending on how closely related the two majors are

Yep-- physics-chem for me... Five years, so I'm adding to the delinquency, I reckon... Could've done it in four though if I hadn't been transferring around from school to school...
