Congressman Calls for War's End in Speech

.c The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich took his anti-war campaign to the House floor Tuesday, calling for an end to the fighting in Iraq to allow weapons inspectors to return.

Kucinich, a congressman from Ohio, repeated the phrase, ``Stop this war now,'' 10 times in his brief speech. He said the U.S.-led military campaign was built on ``falsehood.''

``This war has been advanced on lie upon lie,'' he said. ``Iraq was not responsible for 9/11. Iraq was not responsible for any role al-Qaida may have had in 9/11. Iraq was not responsible for the anthrax attacks on this country.''

``Rescue this nation from a war that is wrong, that is unjust, that is immoral,'' Kucinich said.

The trash won't, but look at the bright side. He's one hell of a carpenter for he has shown his abilities in driving nails....in his own political coffin!

The evilness is in the Iraqi elite - Saddam and his henchmen, the political perverts that are a part of his regime, the Republican Guard which is a part of this. It is wrong to suggest that the Iraqi people are evil.

``Rescue this nation....

It will be done you moronic piece of trash, if you haven't noticed with your fervour to gain a higher office, it IS in process being led by someone with more conviction than someone who considers politics their #1 concern.

Well geeeeees.... thanks to that kind of talk from a representative of our government, the poor Iraqis who are terrified of rising up against Saddam will be even more confused and sit tight because of what they perceive as our fickle government. Imagine what is going through their heads as they hear that a representative of the United States government is calling the effort to rid the world of Saddam a big lie. Sheesh. Can't someone shut that guy up at least until our soldiers are home safe? Oh... yeah... not likely. He's campaigning. :-/

I agree with that. Did someone do that in this thread?

The previous reply is referencing "Quote of the Day by the Wizard".

Dennis Kucinich is himself a disgrace to America and to Ohio. If he feels so strongly perhaps he should volunteer his puny @$$ as a human shield.

hmmmm... that's unfortunate. We don't like Wizard's quote of the day, John :-) It assumes all Iraqis are evil and inhuman. I think most Iraqis are a terribly abused people.
