Hey, Martin Sheen - these are much more stylish than the duct tape you use.

I believe the correct medical term is 'Lung Butter'...

I used to live in DeLay's district. where are you?
BTW, the picture of your dog on your home page is hilarious.
I guess I missed the executive order prohibiting foreigners from SARS countries from entering the US.
After all, I know that our government would never resort to heavy handed measures on Americans before they closed the borders. Nope, never.
I mean if they did something like that, I might start to think our government cared more about the global economy more than our unalienable rights. I think I need to watch some more FOX News so I can get these terrrible thoughts out of my head.

Now this is an executive order that makes sense!
To: Petronski
Obviously this is a conspiracy . . . between Bush and Ashcroft to imprison more people who disagree with them wrongfully, without a hearing. We need regime change!"We need regime change!" Good little Kerrybots.

Now this is an executive order that makes sense yeah, if people were not flying in and out of that area daily.

I guess this means the CDC takes the threat seriously, and persuaded Tommy Thompson, or this would never have ended up on the president's desk.

What he did was issue an executive order adding SARS to the already-existng list of communicable diseases for which a person can be quarantined.

Hmmm... could it possibly be because ANY person diagnosed with SARS will be quarantined, whether they are foreign or American? Hmmm????
Nah... what was I thinking? That would make too much sense...

I may be wrong, but I really doubt the masks do much of anything except make people feel more in control- like they're doing something. If this is caused by a virus, my suspicion is that the viurs particle size is small enough to get through poores in the masks.
At least in the OR we have special viral masks that are made with smaller poores so that the smaller viral size particles are filtered out.
If anyone has definitive info about whether or not masks make any difference I'd love to know about it.

A dry cough basically produces nothing, while a nice, gurgling wet cough produces things that resemble those little pads of butter you get at restaurants... Easy enough to determine for myself. What about children? I take it this thing would not be accompanied with runny nose, etc...

could it possibly be because ANY person diagnosed with SARS will be quarantined What a great idea. Allow people to come to the US from countries that are having a deadly pandemic, and then quarantining them after they get here and show symptoms but have already infected others.
Pure genius. You should work for the government.

Is there any way to find out the wording of this EO? I know they get 'posted', but how long does that take?
