Iraqi TV shows Saddam Hussein - or his double - visiting bombed residential areas of Baghdad Friday and being greeted by apparently spontaneous crowds
Intelligence analysts suggest man on street not same as man in earlier address over Iraqi TV. Absence of bomb damage could mean street scenes shot earlier.
Iraqi information minister Mohammed al-Saeef threatened non-conventional action against US troops at Baghdad airport Friday night. Asked if he meant WMD, he said no. There will be martyrdom operations from which no one will survive.
Shortly after "non-conventional" threat was broadcast, Saddam Hussein appeared in taped speech, calling on people of Baghdad to do what they can against invader and promised victory. Thousands continue to flee Baghdad
Tape analysis by intelligence experts indicate speech pre-recorded March 24, about time DEBKAfile reported flight of Iraqi leadership to Latakiya, Syria, showing him alive and unhurt. Martyrdom is way Iraqis refer to suicide terrorism

By all means quote them, I have found some stories they post to be true that no one else touches. For example the reports that Israel was helping the Jordanians fight Sadams incursions. No one had proof, but I saw the military shift to the Jordanian border and LOTS of helo flights heading that way.
I have not seen that since. Nobody broke the story but Debka and I saw the evidence with my own eyes. Many anti-Debka types laughed that Jordan would co-operate against Sadam, or allow foreign troops to base there.
But that too we can see with our own eyes. I chalk a lot of the Debka bashers up to ignorance or anti-Semitism. Debka is not a news agency, it is a intelligence speculation site. It gets it spectacularly wrong some times and spectacularly right on others. Just what you would expect from that type of site. In middle eastern stories they are the best in the field.
Debka is best taken with a large dose of salt.

The Coalition is making saddam irrelevant. Eventually, their propaganda will become irrelevant as well.
