...and the tree in the back ground has no leaves at all. Kinda strange in a part of the world which is just entering it's summer-like season.

Think back to the video of Saddam shown today and use some logic. This is a man who is ultra-paranoid, which is the fate of all dictator-murderers. He trusts nobody, not even his sons. Yet in this video you can clearly see persons in the crowd holding AK-47's aloft; these people are apparently part of a group of spontaneous supporters.
But, as I reiterate, Saddam trusts nobody. Six months ago I would have believed that Saddam would expose himself to these rifles. In the present climate, even if those persons with the rifles were Baathist plants, Saddam would not appear in the crowd as he did. Even Baathist's are under scrutiny by Saddam these days, what with our GI's knocking at the door and all.
The bottom line? Saddam would not present himself to the risk of these rifles, even his if own men were holding them. The tape is bullshit.

They goes through streaks, and, since the War began, they have been on a losing streak. Seems not only are they wrong, they have been out-scooped, sometimes more than a day on the few they get right.
Prior to the War they were beginning to inch towards credible, now they are backsliding.

I just heard on Brand X TV that Saddam has not been seen in public since a attempt on his life many years ago. (enter chicken sound here)

"Kinda strange in a part of the world which is just entering it's summer-like season." Exactly, and we've been seeing lots of green trees on the march to Baghdad.
I'm trying to remember when we might have seen Sadism looking at the burning palm cover. I remember Clinton launched a few cruise missiles and wonder if this video was filmed during this time, or perhaps it was during Desert Storm?

Thanks for your message. You're probably right. They still imply that Saddam is at a Syrian resort on the Mediterannean coast....LOL!
But you know, at this point I wouldn't discount anything.
Cheers !

Whatever it is, we'll get him soon or later, dead or alive.

You know they have lookalike showcases in Las Vegas and the entertainers are "dead ringers". In the case of all the saddams, some look older than others. The eyebrows are different as are the alignment of the eyes and nose. His lookalikes would never make it in Vegas. They do not look like him.
I think that it's an old tape and with computer effects, they could have added smoke in the background to look like fire. I don't know where the guy is but Powell said he's irrelevant. I agree at this point.

I find these people to be incredibly stupid- I am sorry, but fanatics must be real dumb.
SH calls for suicide bombers- and they do it? How incredibly ignorant. Why doesn't HE commit suicide for his cause...?
"People listen to me - kill yourselfs so I can stay in power"
effing ridiculous- nuke them all...and clean up the gene pool
And what kind of people are these to lead? Who wants them?

I think Saddam is secular, he just uses the clout of religion as an emergency brace, something to fall behind. But IIRC, the Baath party tends to align itsel;f with the Sunnis.

You know, I agree with you. The image of Saddam I saw on TV today looked weird. But an analyst said it was convincing. I agree with Colin Powell.....it's not important that we get Saddam himself. With Bin Laden it's different, we do want to get him. But with Saddam all we want is to change the regime, and we're doing that. Saddam, as a person, is finished anyway.

I saw the clip, it didn't look like Saddam, his body language was way off, this guy high 5 everyone, whereas Saddam is parnoid about germs, also this guy were almost dancing, never saw Saddam behave like that.

I did a search for this hotel/"resort" that Saddam and his family are supposed to be staying at. There are no rooms available. And I have a Platinum American Express!
Have they done any facial biometrics on all of the different "Saddams"?

Even Hitler got upset enough to kill himself when the Allies made their way into Berlin. Plus, a number of the Nazi leadership either crunched down on cyanide capsules or put a bullet through their heads. And we are lead to believe, through Iraqi TV and our mainstream media, that somehow Saddam and his henchmen are just as cool as cucumbers?

Saddam: "People listen to me - kill yourselves so I can stay in power" At least Adolph Hitler had enough integrity to put a bullet in his own head.

Please don't quote debka as a reliable source I didn't quote Debka as a reliable source.
I filled my post with caveats about them and their logic. If a multitude of Freepers ask me not to quote Debka at all, I'll stop.

Because on wild reports on the edge, they have a better track record than CNN and BBC combined?
