Kelly carpenter, Rosie O'Donnells life partner has legally changed her name to Kelly O'Donnell, the two celebrated tonight by eating out. It kills me, but for decorum's sake, I am letting this pass by without comment.

It's an old joke. It used to end with "eat at the Y"

No seriously, it seems awfully quiet on the other news front lately. I'm sure stuff is happening, I just haven't heard about anything but the War.This is a good time to rely more on newspapers. They can't go wall-to-wall war coverage, no matter how badly they want to.
Personally, I think it shows just how meaningless 90% of the "news" they cover is not news at all, if they can simply abandon it entirely and hardly anyone even notices.

((LET FREEDOM RING!!!!))
Right after September 11, I found a good AP news website that had all the breaking news before the mainline media had it. (I've since lost the link.)
But after months of reading that site, I realized that all the reporters / researchers GO HOME on weekends, and there really is no one available to REPORT the news. It's not that no news is happening, it's just that "nobody is home" on weekends. So Mondays were always good news days because that's when you found out what had happened after everyone went home for the weekend.
But you would think, with a WAR going on, that at least some reporters would be feeding us some info. I mean, what is there to do in Baghdad on the weekend? Go clubbing? Visit Museums? Concerts?
Let's see... clubbing is reserved for the Fedayeen.
Museums have all been bombed because they had bunkers underground.
And the only concert in town is the Police Parade Symphony.

The only booms I'm hearing are from the fireworks at Disneyland. Every night at 9:35.

the restraint I am showing right now is simply amazing me.

Sweet.
How old is she?
I've got one that is nearly 5.
Have you explained the war and the rallies to her?
If so what did you tell her?
