Quinn plays this speech from the movie nearly every morning on my drive to work in Pittsburgh (96.7 FM). I agree the written recount is better, but even the cleansed George C. Scott version makes me want to enlist and go kick some ass by the time I get to work.
It's a pity he'd be thrown to the liberal wolves in this day and age much sooner than in his own day. Real men simply aren't tolerated.
