But if ONE RPG can stop an Abrams, given the large number fired at our armor, you would have see many more disabled.

Assuming they actually hit anything. I imagine these guys are popping off RPG rounds all over the place, and just hitting the landscape.

Factoring in the number of RPGs fired and the possible number of M1s that were disabled, this points to a lucky hit, and not a newly discovered vulnerability.

Maybe you noticed, there were 56K dead vets from N.Korea, or are you saying they were just incompetant and we should just charge on in to N. Korea...you'll lead the first wave of course...right?

Oh, I'm aware, all right. I'm also aware of the U.S. prisoners taken to the USSR, never to return.

"The conflict will "generate a surge in interest in anti-aircraft defences and radio-electronic equipment," predicted Alexander Nozdrachev, head of the state-run Russian Agency for Conventional Weapons, quoted by Interfax-AVN."

Let's see, 20,000 plus sorties, one jet shot down by our own Patriot crews. Yup, that would encourae me if I were a buyer, no doubt about it.
DON'T TRUST THE RUSKIES.

"Were the bridges blown?"

Yes, two on the Tigris early this a.m. The USMC has already started building pontoon bridges to replace them. One other the Iraqis attempted to destroy but did not use enought explosive.

"Were the damns(sic) blown?"

No, because our Special Forces took the D-A-M-S before the orders could be executed.

"Were the airstrips spiked or the roads cratered or the wells blown or the ports destroyed?"

Yes, oil wells were blown. They mined the hell out of the ports and could not destroy them because we hit with a great amount of stealth and speed. Were the airstrips spiked? No, but Mayor Daley loaned them a bulldozer and they messed one runway up at Baghdad International Airport. The only roads cratered were the ones we chose to.

"Were main streets in Baghdad barrackaded and mined?"

Yes, per Greg Kelly who is now sleeping in Sadamn's house. But that's easily over come.

"Doesn't mean the next guy: Iran/N. Korea or who ever isn't going to do this...just because the Arabs make lousy soldiers."

The Egyptians are excellent soldiers (now that they have our equipment by and large) as the Jordanians are becoming also. The problem with most of these "old" Arab soldiers you slam is that they were trained using Soviet tactics. That's great if they plan to have a war in 1972 against a weaker neighbor. Iran will not be much tougher unless the current edition of the Russian government elects to assist in the acceleration of the nuclear weapons program (which they are). That being the case, look for Iran and Syria to be dismantled by year end. We will not allow Iran to get nukes, period. North Korea we will not fight with, unless put into a corner. That will be decided by the ChiComs and Putin. If the old Soviet bloc will not do something, Asia, might well burn.

What hypocrites the Russians are. THey go ahead and brag about the immoral sale of their weapons to countries that are against anything deemed good in this world, savage, ugly countries, and then proclaim that they are a democracy and "friends" of the United States. +++

Russia sells for US dollars. Those countries got thier US dollar FIRST from trades with United States.

Then they go to Russia and buy russian arms.

If it is OK to trade with those countries by Unites States. Why same is not OK for Russia?
US already got her benefits from trades with those countries , provided those cointries with her cash. Now US truy to forbid Russia of having same benefits.

It is pure hypocrisy.

just because the Arabs make lousy soldiers.++++

Exactly. I say that if we exchange weaponry. Imagine.

American weaponry we give to Iraqis and Iraqi arms we give to American troops.
Then Americans will win even more anyway. Even with old aged Soviet types of arms.

It is not weapon what wins wars. But resolve and training of troops.

Most of the bridges were not blown and should have been...5 oil wells were burnt, the ports were not destroyed. The air strips were not spiked for the most part. The damn should have been blasted 2 weeks ago. The streets were not barrackaded...not from the photoes, if they were properly barrackaded with explosives attached and kill sacks set up of RGP/anti-tank missile teams, snipers, hit and run teams and machine gun posts, there would not have been the quick charge. Anti tank ditches are also great. Arabs loose wars because they are arabs, it part of their culture. I know you try your damnedest to turn it all into a Russian issue and try to degrade Russians every chance you get but tough luck it ain't gonna work. Educate yourself, on my profile is a link : Why Arabs Loose Wars, written by US military instructors.

As for arming the Egyptians, great work, a country who's state controlled media still venerates Hitler is now armed with M1A1s to kill Isrealies....very smart...that's why they were dancing in the streets of Cairo on 911.

Beck_isnotquiteright hates Russians and is part of a group of Freepers who dispise us for being alive. They see us as the embodiment of all that is evil...no different from the Nazi view of Jews. As long as one of our women or children is alive they will hate. Most, however are worse then the racist Nazies. Why? Because unlike them, they can't admit the evil of their ways. They rationalize it by saying they hate the Russian government or some such copout...since the Russian government is freely elected, they obviously hate the people who elected it. These little Hitlerites make no distinctions in ideologies of the various Russian parties...to them they are all "commies" and must be exterminated. If they ever had their way, they would bring back death camps and reeducation facilities...they just don't want to face their own evil in the mirror...but don't worry, God is watching and their day will come before Him.

God is watching and their day will come before Him.

God will punish him for not trusting Russians? That sounds almost like blasphemy.

First off, I was refuting your points one by one as they have in fact done so on FNC repeatedly. CNN is the WORST place to find out war news unless you are a peacenik. Secondly, I love the Russian people. The current Russian government is not to be trusted and many Americans concur with that assessment. The tactics employed by the Iraqis were the traditional Soviet approach from 30-40 years ago, not current doctrine. The joke is that even if they did blockade the streets and set up kill zones, that those areas would be wasted by the air dominance we hold. The Russian issue has nothing to do with it except for when the reports generated by the FBI,CIA, and DIA accounting teams finish their work. Then, when that is leaked to the public, the Putin government as well as the Germans and French, will have a lot of explaining to do.

Stavka you exagerate. I think it is probably the narrowness of thinking nomore.
They even don't think that themselves provide China and Iran with mean to buy arms.
Or it is hypocrisy. They allow themselves to benefit from trade with those countries but refuse the same for Russia.

Accually they simply don't realize that Russia already so capitalistic that she just trade for PROFIT not for political purpose.

Trust? For most of that group its not trust, its hate, plain and simple. It'll be that hatred that'll damn them in the end. Their problem.

They don't want to realize and they don't care. They reveal in their own hatred and ignorance. You'll see it soon enough. They're a minority but a vicious bunch none the less. Don't bother to show them reality, they'll only attack you for it...they use the same tactics as the liberals they hate, they won't call you racists they use: commie or traitor instead. Same difference. These people won't change and don't want too.

Funny, last time I checked, in southern Iraq there were 5 or 6 wells burning reported...by the mainstream media. Why would they lie? If anything, they'd increase the amounts. N. Iraq there are no wells burning.
