Can you imagine what they looked like last night or this morning in private when they saw our 3rd ID hanging around Soddamn's Palace?

The perils of working for a weekly. All you have to do is be right for a week, then all is forgotten. But when you're a dopey reporter trying in vain to wrap your arms around the complexity of modern warfare, you're bound to call things wrong.

"Although the Bush Administration seemed unwilling to recognize it, there's actually nothing wrong in trumpeting U.S. flexibility in the face of new facts on the ground."

They STILL don't recognize that flexibility is a GIVEN, part of the war plan. No matter how many times Rumsfeld et al patiently or not so patiently explain that there is no time line, they still want a linear, set situation that logically unfolds.

Thanks for posting this reality.

Typical left lunatics.

#1. NY Slimes comes out with a lie and DNC mantras to discredit a conservative.
#2. ABCNNBCBS runs with this lie/DC mantra to discredit a conservative.
#3. Slime and Newsweak then create more lies posing as news around the original NY Slimes lie and DNC mantras.

Can we vote Time magazine off the island?

Only after they've dug the latrines and literally eaten crow.

"The enemy we're fighting," said army Lieut. General William Wallace last week, "is different from the one we'd war-gamed against." At least the commander of V Corps and the highest-ranking officer at the front was honest in assessing one of the most unsettling battlefield surprises: Iraqis are resisting vigorously.

The ONLY attributed quote in the whole article from an official source that is critical of the war effort and they get it wrong. Wallace said: "The enemy we're fighting is a bit different from the one we'd war-gamed against."

Putz-heads

[Also] Reported by John F. Dickerson, Mark Thompson and Douglas Waller/Washington, Sally B. Donnelly/Doha, Meenakshi Ganguly/Bahrain, Scott MacLeod/ Cairo and Terry McCarthy/Kuwait City

Let's keep these names in mind, too. They are just as discredited as the main R.W. 'Johanna' Apple.

For the Bush Administration, some of the unexpected turns of Gulf War II reflect a perhaps too rigid adherence to ideology at the expense of on-the-ground practicality.

Royal Marine Stuart Lawley stands in a corridor of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's
palace at Basra in southern Iraq, April 7, 2003. British paratroopers guarded by tanks
and helicopter gunships walked unopposed into the center of Iraq's second city,
meeting a warm reception in the narrow streets of the old quarter. (Pool via Reuters)

What General Wallace actually said was: "The enemy we're fighting, is A BIT different from the one we'd war-gamed against."

So, starting with a lie from the NY Times, which offered their correction last week, this article can only descend further into lies and propaganda.
