Just saw report from Jordan. FNC correspondent is monitoring Abu Dhabi TV. The reporter states that Al Jazeera is reporting that their facility near the Iraqi Ministry of Information has been hit and damaged.

How do you say "INCOMING!" in Arabic?

How about "America's Girls?!"

Actually--I would change your thought a little and not compare it to the Chinese embassy bombing (that comparison would fit the Russian embassy convoy shooting) but the Belgrade TV studio bombing.---I guess we are not out to win Arab hearts and minds anymore.

Brian Wilson on Fox just theorized that the Abu Dhabi camera is mounted at an Iraqi machine gun position. Fox ran the video from Abu Dhabi, and you can see that bullets were being fired from the camera's position at the American tanks on the bridge over the Tigris. Then a bomb was dropped near the camera in response.

"...Abu Dhabi camera is mounted at an Iraqi machine gun position."
Someone on MSNBC reported a little while ago that the al-jazeera guy that was killed was right next to an Iraqi gunman. If that is true, why is apology necessary? Jonathan Alter (bed-wetter that he is) just said we should have high-ranking gov't official publicly apologize on al-jazeera TV just like the Clinton adm. did re: China.

Fox News is now not sure whether the machine gun fire was outgoing or incoming. But it makes perfect sense that the Iraqi soldiers would hide behind journalists and cameras, just as they hide behind women and children. What better place to position a machine gun or AAA than beside a camera and reporter on the roof of a building?

Precision bombing at work. This one was well worth the tax payer $'s.
Like an army officer said earlier :"We know our enemy".

I thought they had moved to Palestine Hotel. The Palestine Hotel was hit last night by a coalition tank a few hours ago. 1 reporter dead and a few injuries are reported. Now the reporters are whining that they are being targeted, meanwhile THEY WERE TOLD TO LEAVE. I was watching Fox last night and they were live with a correspondent atop the Palestine Hotel... he was discussing what he could/couldn't see in the center of Baghdad while they were showing a live feed of the Baghdad skyline....Next thing ya see is a gun firing at our troops from atop the hotel. You could see the blasts from alongside the camera angle. Laurie Dhue made note of it then he(the reporter in Baghdad) "had to leave". I sat here thinking to myself... If this isn't a set-up, I don't know what is. Those reporters in that building were sitting ducks.
When I woke up this morning, I heard that the hotel was hit by a tank after being shot at from the roof. It was surreal.

What better place to position a machine gun or AAA than beside a camera and reporter on the roof of a building? How can Fox say that? I saw it with my own eyes last night. the shots were without a doubt OUTGOING from atop that hotel. It was the most bizarre I've ever seen on live TV (no joke). They must have the tape of it...., no?

THEY WERE TOLD TO LEAVEYes, an NPR reporter told Steve (Mr. Cokie) Roberts that the Al Jazeera people were warned they were in a battle zone and were advised to leave. They chose not to.
Roberts said that because of that, he had little sympathy for them.
Steve Roberts is no conservative, btw.

Roberts said that because of that, he had little sympathy for them Mr. Roberts and I have something in common then :)

Dixie Chicks To Appear On Letterman TonightGee, maybe Dave will help them out like he did Hillary? You know, ask some hard-hitting questions, like "How many stars are on the flag?" and "Fill in the blank: red, white, and _____"? You know, to prove they're really American like he proved Hillary was really a New Yorker?

Interesting..verrrrrry interesting. NPR reportress, Linda Garrels stated flatly that there was no fire from that hotel and that now she felt "unsafe"[boo-hoo]. She, however was in her room on the 11th floor doing who knows what and stated that she didn't think anything about the explosion until she was called by colleagues and told about it. Now she is feeling "unsafe"....ooo the drama. ooo the humanity.
But you say my Laurie noted the flashes?? Way to go Dhue! Maybe NPR will learn that they don't operate in a vacuum anymore and they have to report the real story...not just some made up liberal pig slop.

Fox News is now not sure whether the machine gun fire was outgoing or incoming. Are you talking about the footage from atop the Palestine Hotel, or the footage shot by the Al-Jazeera cameraman just before his position got hit with a missle?
I didn't see the former, but as to the later you can see puffs of smoke and shell casings flying up right in front of the camera (while it is looking down at the American tank on the bridge). Seemed pretty clear, from their own footage, that Al-Jazeera was filming from (just behind) a machine gun position firing on American forces.

Iraqi's are complaining bitterly about Al Jazeera. They are allowing their cameras to show the true picture of the situation in Baghdad. Blaming Al Jazeera for showing false pictures.....lol. They do have a love hate relationship.

Yes...I really wish Fox would replay the footage or make note of it.
Someone else here must have seen it too!!!!!!!!
The fire clearly came from the rooftop. The flashes were from the left side of the screen. My eyes could have been deceiving me, but it even looked like you could see the barrel of the gun (as if it were literally hiding behind the camera). It was quite stunning.

Opps...Sorry.
Great news!!! now some of the hate-America propaganda might slow down!!!!!
