Thanks so much for your efforts. I've been collecting many of these pictures myself, because you're right, "Old Media" won't show 'em or report the stories they depict, and I always want to be able to show others what really happened.

There's an awful lot of steel beam and re-bar in this two story cinderblock building. Building codes must be real strict in this part of Baghdad. [/sarcasm]

You're right. That's a great picture that I haven't seen in the media. lol All I've got to say is that journalists were warned about Baghdad. They are collateral damage and if it's true that the Palestine Hotel is where the regime ordered journalists to stay, they were without their permission or knowledge, JOURNALISTIC HUMAN SHIELDS.

Instead of the rejoicing and pictures of the American Flag waving in Iraq, this is the story that is on today. Pentagon Briefing's at 1:30 pm est. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PRESS WILL BE ASKING ABOUT? Will Al-Jazeera tv stand up and do what they've been doing all along - ie. accusations in the form of a question (like Helen Thomas)?

Great Picture...I think I'd need a box of tissues if I was a Marine seeing all these people so happy to finally be FREE.

More heroes:

Working for the U.S. Marines 24th Expeditionary Unit as an interpreter, Khuder Al-Emeri, 43, is hugged by his sister Suhila after being reunited with local villagers after 12 years, Monday, April 7, 2003, in Qal'at Sukkar, 100 kms. north of Nasariyah, Iraq. Khuder led an uprising in his village during the last gulf war and fled to the United States in fear of reprisal from Saddam Hussein's regime. He now returns in hopes of rebuilding his village.
