I wonder what are Leno's politics? He also always talks about "rich white Republicans" (wish I were one), and yet he also attacks the liberal media.

I wonder what are Leno's politics? He also always talks about "rich white Republicans" (wish I were one), and yet he also attacks the liberal media. Leno feasts on one and all. He was absolutely brutal on Clinton after Monica. He slams anyone and everyone.

I wonder what are Leno's politics? I suspect that he is a liberal Boston DemocRAT, who spends a lot of his time wondering why.

He's a liberal or left-leaning at least, but he's smart enough to hide it and appear unbiased, unlike most others in Hollywood.

Leno is a firm leftist. Remember he intimated how great it would be if O'Reilly comitted suicied -- to his face. He wouldn't have done that, even as a joke, to a liberal. Look up his wife on the web. Total activist feminist leftist. Occasionally he throws out a figleaf to look moderate, but that is all it is.
One example. During the 2000 election, most of his Bush jokes had as the premise that he was a moron. Most of the Gore jokes had as the premise that he was a bit too nerdy. It sounded like he was making fun of both, but the message each time was that we had a choice between a moron and a smart superman who could use a little polish. Which would you vote for?

Im the mid-90's I heard him say on his show a couple of times that he's a Democrat. However, he's probably got too much sense to ram that down everyone's throat all the time and possibly alienate a decent-sized chunk of his audience.

Leno always seems pretty safe .. but he's got to "ride the fence" as it doesn't do him any good to be labeled liberal or conservative. I get the impression though that he leans right.

In any case, at a time when 75% of the public is for the war, the Fox joke is a plus for Fox. Only in an isolated habitat such as LA would you think that was an insult.

I wonder what are Leno's politics? The only matter he's gone public with (that I know of) was support of women in Afghanistan...long before 9/11. His wife was organizing/participating in a group addressing this.

Leno is a nice guy who is basically liberal but not political. That's my take. He isn't afraid to point out anyone's flaws if it will get him a laugh. He is not driven by any issue; he is driven by entertainment value.
The funniest political joke he ever produced, imo, was the Vote Cat; Vote Dog video that played during the 2000 election cycle (I think).
To: GulliverSwift
My opinion is that he is clearly conservative, although, he will take potshots at anybody. I like him.

It was bad for her (Connie) that she was fired; but the worst part was that she heard it while watching FOX.

he had dennis miller on the other night and miller skewered the libs and war protestors.
To: GulliverSwift
Ive never been a fan of his politics but last nights commentary was on an add someone had sent him. A political flyer had been created and distributed supporting the candidate Richard White. The way the "headline" on the flyer read was something like, "On election day, vote for Rich White Republican," which is funny in the same way that all of his misworded headline gags are.
To: GulliverSwift
He laughs pretty hard at Dennis Miller. Note that you don't see Miller on Letterman.
