Too bad we can't bring in a detachment of South Korean police. They sure know how to deal with those types over there...

Is it sedition or sabotage? trying to satop food and fighting supplies from reaching our troops seems to be an act of sabotage and aiding the enemy to me. (I am not an attorney.)

Make no mistake: This continued campaign of "direct action" against private businesses and military establishments is not antiwar speech. It's anti-soldier, anti-cop, anti-American sedition. The Oakland police deserve medals of honor for appreciating the difference. Yep!

Well- on that we agree. "Civil Disobediance" is a cottage industry and is not punished. It should be. This ain't the civil right movement (and give them credit- they got jail time of several months for protesting segregation back in the day.) But ever since "protesting" has been treated as a joke by the courts. As long as tresspassing, vandalism, blocking roadways, and even assaulting police are treated with kid gloves by most state prosecutors because they are done in a "protest" (usually of the left wing kind) in this country- then we will always have this stuff. The law should be enforced and appropriate but not merely token penalties should be applied.

I read the full post . If you dont have a clue I appreciate the passion . How in the hell do you expect me to reply with common sense when it is clear that you choose to reply with emotions ?
I dont add salt to my food Burke/a . A single poster made the comment with a conviction you dont appear to be able to know . So fricking what .
Dont twist and contort the issue . You claim these people are nuts but you have the grace of sitting on your ass and choose to apply an emotional diatribe to render a specific result .
You look like a single issue voter to me . Hero .

Interesting times. California is going to be more and more interesting to watch ---how will the wealthy liberals in that state like seeing the other wealthy liberals cut off some of their money for their political causes. They've supported marxism and now it's going to come back and smack them.

I cried for the enemy in combat, but I think this limited, temporary punishment is funny. This is much more merciful than she deserves. I would have shot with the wooden bullet, chuckled while cuffing her, and offered a band-aid before hauling the trash out !
Now how could that possibly be considered sadistic ?

Strongly suggest you look up the statutes regarging sabotage during wartime (and, yes, interfering with the shipment of supplies to the Armed Forces is defined as sabotage, and, yes, the usual penalty at law for sabotage during wartime is death, US 8 14-15, 19, among other sections, if I'm not mistaken, and, yes, these penalties have been applied during 'undeclared' wars.).
Please don't offer that tired stuff about 'undeclared wars' being exceptional as regards law; the US Congress has declared war exactly 5 times in history...but our various armed services have been committed to cause on more than 200 other occasions. And, the Supreme Court has upheld every single sentence incurred by such 'free speech' advocates under such circumstances, as well they should have done.

Nice to see that poor people are getting on board. That poor girl couldn't afford the rest of her clothes.

Inflicting pain on anyone and taking pleasure in it is sadistic. Now that doesn't mean sadism is always bad. After getting your company half annihilated at Iwo Jima and then taking pleasure in killing Japanese soldiers is understandable and even Human. But to laugh and chuckle at some dopey woman protestor who got whoppled in the chin and is in pain- is a little over the top in my view. They are not worth the emotional effort "sadism" requires and if you feel it so easily then- I would try to find some inner peace.
