[history]
Cable News Network is reporting that no Information Ministry personnel showed up this morning at the Palestine Hotel.
This means no 'Baghdad Bob,' but no minders as well.
So either they are fading into the midst (most likely) or something really bad is being planned for Palestine Hotel.

Seems the regime is histoire. And this in only 19 days!!! We've established a land speed record for regime change.

In less than a month Iraq went from Saddam as the most visible person to "Baghdad Bob." From absolute power to a pathetic farce.

I am - or was- looking forward to seeing Baghdad Bob again. I really wanted to see him in full spin while a tank pulled up behind him.
Maybe we'll get lucky and he will show up before that pigeon-propping statue in the traffic circle disappears.

My guess is that B-dad Bob is headed to Tikrit to continue his 2003 World Comedy Tour.

Baghdad Bob took one look at those cheering crowds and decided he couldn't lie his way out of it.

With his higher-ups knocked off, the coalition forces have let him rant and rave as somebody has to fry for war crimes. Who else is left?

Geraldo Rivera and Peter Arnett?

Maybe he just happened to be in Al Mansour grabbing a goat burger and fries when the bunker busters came down. Then he wouldn't be Baghdad Bob any more, he'd be Barney Rubble.

Yes, it would seem that the regime is gone.
The U.N. HQ is being stripped to the bone by jubilant looters, and U.S. troops are in control of all be one small island of the city.
But even that portion, it is reported, has no evidence left of control by the Baathists.
I alos heard a report a bit ago that we have struck targets in Tikrit very hard in the last few hours.

In less than a month Iraq went from Saddam as the most visible person to "Baghdad Bob." From absolute power to a pathetic farce. An example of Baathos.
