I applaud your intentions and agree with them. Trouble is Saddam Hussein will get the award before GWB.

Considering the sort of people who receive the Nobel Peace Prize these days, I can't believe W would want one. Why would he want to be in the same company as Arafat, Carter, and Annan?

Nobel Peace Prize for President Bush.

And try to put a good man in the same league with Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela,
Kofi Anan + The UN?

Heck, I'd rather eat a good cheeseburger at a greasy spoon than have to
sit down at a Nobel Prize Winner banquet with those toadies.

And I suspect Dubya might feel the same way.

If you do, you should include Tony Blair as well.

Your kidding right?! They would award Satan the prize first before they would consider W! W is beyond that! The biggest prize is the American Hearts, and that he has already won...BIG TIME!!!

Depending on who you are, you might do better in your quest by lobbying someone else to submit a proposal to the Norwegian Nobel Institute. See below:

Right to submit proposals for the Nobel Peace Prize, based on the principle of competence and universality, shall by statute be enjoyed by:

  1. Members of national assemblies and governments of states;
  2. Members of international courts;
  3. University rectors; professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology; directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes;
  4. Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize;
  5. Board members of organizations who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize;
  6. Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee; (proposals by members of the Committee to be submitted no later than at the first meeting of the Committee after February 1) and
  7. Former advisers appointed by the Norwegian Nobel Institute.

And.....This year's winner?

Jock Chirac.

He's a 10:1 favorite to win....
He fills all the socialist/communist requirements for the Nobel committee....

A worthless POS..

Well ... I'm not sure President Bush wants to be lumped in with Jimmy Carter - who didn't deserve the award.

Actually, they'll probably give it to France!!

No kidding. One of these days, they'll give it to the antichrist.

Actually, I think we should rename the Nobel Peace Prize to the Appeaser War Prize, based on who has won it so far. I don't think President Bush would want to be in this kind of company.

I agree. W could care less about this bunch of whacked out Nordic leftists. They gave the prize to a convicted liar (the Guatemalan "peasant" woman) a few years back and assorted other types who have caused wars not ended them like Carter.

That said, if the consensus among Freepers is to write the Nobel Committee, I would gladly do so.

The Nobel Peace Prize is run by a bunch of hypocritical, communistic, beyond leftist a**holes.

Bush deserves better.

Have problems with the Nobel Peace Prize. Look who rec'd it in the past--araRAT, Carter. Only terrorists and/or liberals qualify for it. However, considering that Clintoon tried 6 times to get it as a redemption prize, it would smack in his face and the RATS too if W rec'd it on the first try.
