SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, Mexico (AP) --An angry crowd stoned to death an Indian man accused of practicing witchcraft in a southern Mexico town with a long tradition of religious violence.
The man, Domingo Shilon Shilon, was also hacked with machetes Sunday by the crowd in San Juan Chamula, a majority Catholic township on the outskirts of the colonial city of San Cristobal, 460 miles (735 kms) southeast of Mexico City.

"The evil eye"?
You really believe in that?
Jesus Christ is Lord over all principalities and powers, and he doesn't need the "witch patrol" to murder so-called "witches".

Wait, wouldn't a man be a warlock? No. There are male witches. Any practicioner of Wicca is a witch, male or female. A warlock is more akin to a conjurer or a sorcerer. Not a practitioner of Wicca.
The whole witch/warlock thing was blurred badly by the "Betwitched" type of thinking.

"Wicca" as it is promoted today, is a relatively recent phenomenon. It's about as historical as Kwanzaa.

Ugh, calling on Satan to drive out Satan??? Two wrongs don't make a right. But two Wrights made an airplane.

"Betwitched" type of thinking. You mean witches don't REALLY wriggle their noses to cast spells? LOL! I used to love that show. Agnes Moorehead was a hoot. I never got over having two Darrens, though.

I know a Mexican who was playing baseball and he noticed 3 women from the other team's side give him the evil eye and he lost use of his arm for over a year. ~ FITZ
Do you think we could have used these three during the '92 Presidential race to take down Clinton?
Woody.
P.S. Thanks for the bump! Since the Protestant persecution began on FR I haven't posted much.

"Wicca" as it is promoted today, is a relatively recent phenomenon. Yes, true. What I meant to get across but perhaps did it poorly was that a warlock is more related to Satanism where Wiccans or witches are not.

Agnes Moorehead was a hoot. Gaaah! That old witch (and I mean that in only the nicest of ways) used to infuriate me! I always wanted Darren to sucker punch her and put her lights out before she could wave her hand and turn him into a goat.

Hey, anybody know what a souther tribe of wild mexicans and a tribe of muslims practicing shariah law have in common?..... /
To: CCWoody
Yes, Protestant persecution is not only found in Mexico.

When my father had a liquor store, way back when, a long, long, long time ago. one of our cutomers was a group of witches that belonged to a traditional coven, as opposed to Gardnerians. Traditional witches have their "religion" passed down through their parents and apparently can trace their practice in the family quite a few generations.
James Gardner and Englishman in the early 20th century established what is today known as gardnerian witches. It was his idea (wrongfully) that the ancient religion of wicca had become extinct (not so, witches just went underground). Most Gardnerians witches are introduced into wicca with the assumption that what they practice is witchcraft. Most traditional witches remain secretive about their religion and don't go around advertising it.
I got curious about it when I saw one of my customers wearing a pentagram around his neck. That led to my curiosity about modern witchcraft and it was a nice distraction from my Marxist studies at the time. It seems that there is a world stranger than demented leftists out there.
Of course I suspect that Hillary is a Satanist rather than a witch.

Jesus Christ is Lord over all principalities and powers, and he doesn't need the "witch patrol" to murder so-called "witches". You forget your Leviticus: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."
Jesus Christ is the author of the Levitical Laws, if we are to believe the Bible. Do you???

The Hebrews had their own unique code; Sabbath breakers were stoned too. The worst action a sorcerer is documented as facing in the New Testament, is a warning that he was headed for hell. (St. Paul to Simon the sorcerer, and Paul could have easily called for the man's death had that been a serious option.)
