The Washington Post has much of this story as well. Some different details, or maybe added ones. It says the rescued soldiers asked the two Marines to stay with them, please.

Mojo and Mad Dog are a riot! Nobody can stop Marines like that, the training, the dedication and loyalty....... wonderful. And like many others, I found the decency of the Iraqi guards to be very encouraging. We owe them for their generous conduct toward our people.
