This story doesn't really compare, but at an Olive Garden restaurant near Ft. Lewis here in Washington state, some women asked their hostess for another table because they didn't want to have to look at a couple of guys in uniform who were there while they dined.

The hostess gave them another table.

A local talk show host pointed out that if two women had asked not to be seated near someone because they were part of a minority, they would likely have been shown the door.

They should have been in this case too. Outrageous stuff going on out there.

I'm curious how this will effect the Air Force folks at Lackland. During your last week of BMT you get base liberty and usually go into town along the riverwalk area.

I never had any problems. Saw a lot of cute girls who liked my uniform ;)
