Before the "assault weapons" ban I owned one shotgun and a half a box of shells.

Because of the "assault weapons" ban I became a lifetime member of the NRA and started going to gun shows at every opportunity.

I now own two shotguns, two Ruger Mini-14's, one Remington 700 30-06, one Ruger 10/22, one Russian SKS, one Ruger P-89 9mm, one Ruger P-90 .45, one Ruger G100 .357, one Ruger Mark II .22, one Russian Makarov 9mm and several thousand rounds of ammunition of various calibers, gauges and loads.

I also vote early and often and donated $300 to Dubya's Presidential campaign.

I'm laughing at your rich and enlightening #36. I don't know if you were trying to be funny and ironic, but it sure came out that way.

LOL! I know!

Everytime I heard the names of Diane, Chuck, and Sara, I'd buy two more guns!

Never attended so many gun shows either!

You're in a serious RRRRRRRut there, pal. May I suggest acquiring some weapoms that start with a different letter of the alpabet?

I do share your position, though. The AW ban did the same thing to me...I'm just more "diversified."

Exactly...before the AWB, I didn't own a single firearm. Afterward, seeing how a big chip had been taken out of my RKBA, I began putting my collection together. So if anything, the AWB (along with Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Klinton healthcare plan, etc) awoke me from my slumber. So what's it gonna take to wake up all the "well, as long as it's an 'assaaaaauuuuult weapon', go ahead and ban it" types?

What's that quote I'm thinking of, that goes something like, "When they came for the Jews, I said nothing, for I was not a Jew..."?

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
