3 Indicted in Transporting Undocumented Immigrants
SaltLakeTrib.com ^ | April 19, 2003

A federal grand jury indicted three people this week on charges of participating in a conspiracy to harbor and transport eight to 10 groups of undocumented immigrants in Utah and elsewhere.

Jose Ramon Navarro-Corral and Alfredo Lara-Lizaola knowingly conspired "with each other and other co-conspirators" sometime before Jan. 29 to take custody of the immigrants, who were smuggled from Mexico into the United States and taken to Phoenix, according to the indictment filed Wednesday.

The two allegedly housed the immigrants in a Phoenix apartment, bought vehicles and hired drivers to transport them elsewhere, court documents said.

Other conspirators paid both defendants, prosecutors allege; Navarro-Corral accepted $100 per person and Lara-Lizaola was given between $300 and $350 for each group.

On Jan. 29, documents said, Navarro-Corral took custody of a group of Brazilian nationals smuggled into the United States from Mexico, and was told to take the group to Washington state. He allegedly took them to Lara-Lizaola, who agreed to house them, documents said, and also hired two drivers and obtained a vehicle to make the Jan. 31 trip.

Navarro-Corral is also known by the names Mario C. Valdez and Antonio Salvidar, the indictment said. The indictment does not say what happened to the people being transported.

They are closing public schools in Mexico because of lack of population. This invasion is an indictment of a lawless government, ours.

I say register NO PARTY and let the PUBS/DEMS rethink their priorities.

I'm one step ahead of you. I already did

I have been hounding Bush and my senators relentlessly about illegal immigration.

Pete Sessions is my representative and I don't have to worry about him because he is against illegal immigration and amnesty and has an A+ voting record in that regard.

Just keep fighting the good fight!!

  1. We need to stop giving the house away, and quit electing politicians who do it. We need to convince others that they need to do the same.
  2. The quick (and deadly) solution of militarizing the borders, is scary, and has no possible end in sight - we will disagree here, although I don't think it is the only thing that needs to be done - just one of them for some immediate relief.
  3. Eliminate "anchor babies" special treatment.
  4. Limit State assistance to anyone believed to be here illegally to: · Emergency medical services · Emergency temporary shelter · Transportation to the border.
  5. We need to severely fine and/or prosecute employers found guilty of knowingly using illegal alien help.
  6. We need hard time for smuggling, and manufacturing and/or distribution of falsified legal identification documents...hard time, not Fed time.
  7. We need to increase the technological abilities of the INS and the Border Patrol, and improve their efficiency.
  8. I think we should offer incentives to American manufacturing firms looking to set up shop overseas, to build in Mexico, and not China. I think we did that - it was called NAFTA and it so destructive to our country. I remember they promised us NAFTA would put an end to illegal immigration - I kid you not, that was one of the things that was touted. We need to give incentives to set up shop in America. Any other place, is at their own peril, at their own expense. If they still want to do it fine.
  9. Mexico needs to co-operate with some internal reforms, and by relaxing some laws. If we are about to help a nation grow economically, I want it to be the one right next door to me, not the one who has nukes trained on me.
  10. We should also bring back the Bracero program, it's a win-win.
  11. Any individual caught in the U.S. illegally should be deported, and not allowed to return to this country, for any reason, for life.
  12. But I also think that if we find someone who has been here illegally for fifteen years, working, not breaking laws, setting roots, and otherwise being a model member of the community, we need to give them special consideration, and try thinking out of the box for a kinder solution. While it goes totally against the grain, you are probably right-- but on a case-by-case basis.

Unless, I disgreed, where noted, I totally agree - when can we get people on the bandwagon - especially our President. He could make a significant difference with just a few speeches, then start the ball rolling slowing. If he announced impending fines for employers, giving them time to get other employees, 30 days, 60 days - then allow states to cut of all but emergency services - and go from there.

I think I just figured out your ID!!!!!!

Fly, of all your maddeningly on-target posts, this has to be the best hit.

Where in the name of Moctezuma does this jumped-up jalapeno-suckin' Clymer get the idea that he has anything to do with any American Citizen?

Has he heard of Kaiser Wilhelm, Mussolini, Hitler, Santa Anna? Once an American signs on, he is the same as any Yankee from 1620 onward. Any foreign potentate (or in this jerk's case, impotentate) an American, or his father once followed, is immaterial. I have in my pssession a sworn statement by a new American, my great-grandfather, which categorically requires him to abjure allegiance to Queen Victoria, who I can assure you, was several cuts above this border-bandido. F'im!

Close the border now. As the Mafia used to say, "For our Friends everything. For our Enemies the Law." This SOB is an enemy. All we have to do to make this greaseball dry up and blow away is enforce the laws on OUR books. Once the 'Great Northern Safety Valve' is shut, the Mexicans will eat these Sonsabitches alive. Starting tonight. I pray that GWB backs off the strategy started by the idiot-savant Karl Rove, and forgets Mexico. It's just another country and no friend of ours. Like Iraq, we may have to kill it to cure it.

I call upon the Mexican Americans in this country to form a comittee to tell this this man and his government to go stuff it. Follow the example of many another American who faced the problem.

Here's the voice of one Mexican-american who has had it. I got this in the same email as the excerpt I posted above.

TODAY’S LETTER: An Hispanic Reader Objects To Mexican Subversion

From: Frank Vera, California

Those who profit financially from illegal immigration and agents of the Mexican government would like to convince Americans that all Hispanics are in favor of illegal immigration. Nothing could be further from the truth. The vast majority of Hispanics, including myself, are decent, law-abiding, loyal Americans who strongly oppose illegal immigration.

These profiteers love playing word games to confuse the issue. Contrary to their propaganda, all illegal aliens are criminals - not immigrants, migrants, or any other creative Orwellian term used to try to deceive the American people.

Americans must realize when representatives of the Mexican Consul, La Raza, or MEChA demand “social benefits” or “rights” for illegal aliens in the U.S. that this is an attack on America’s sovereignty by enemy agents of Mexico. They claim to be fighting for all Hispanics or Latinos, but they are not. They represent only one ethnic group or nationality, Mexican or Chicano. Simply put, they are socialist Mexican nationalists, or representatives of the “National Socialist Party of Mexico”, Mexican Nazis, and they are the enemy of all Americans.

Remember that even though all Mexicans are Hispanic, not all Hispanics are Mexican, and Mexicans represent a small percentage of the total Hispanic population of America.

The majority of Americans, including those of Mexican descent, want our immigration laws enforced and all illegal aliens deported.

It pays to have good lawyers:
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., March 26 (Reuters) - A federal court jury on Wednesday acquitted Tyson Foods and three of its executives of conspiring to smuggle illegal immigrants to work at its poultry plants.

Government prosecutors had accused Tyson, the leading U.S. poultry processor, with conspiracy to violate immigration laws, fraud and obstruction of justice.

Well I'm speaking for the states that allow those registered as NO-PARTY to now vote in the primaries. This is the case in Arizona. And, from what I've read, registration perference can be switched unlimited times. So doing it to send a message doesn't mean you can't change back, should you desire. Just a quick look through google results shows that you must register or change your party preference 15 days before an election in most states.

I think it would be great if everyone
registered NO-PARTY on July 4th!

July 4th, 2003 = Independent's Day!!!

It has a nice ring to it. Those who wished could also send a letter to their party headquarters to explain their dissatisfaction.

It's a shame so many Freepers ignore these threads. I guess Laci Peterson's death is so much more important.

The brutal, sad truth. One day, when they all wake up, there going to ask, WTF happened?

Bought vehicles, I don't think so, those operations steal the vehicles. I work for insurance companys, appraising damaged, and stolen vehicles, a year ago I worked about one stolen/recovered illegal transporter a month, now it is one a week.

This Frank Vera guy is on the money. I thank him.

But there is a giant "Cognitive Dissonance" on this issue. We, and Frank Vera and friends, are shouting ourselves hoarse. So we are right. BFD.

GWB and his friends, are absent on the issue. Congressmen from the Border States are nowhere to be found.

Our laws are simply not being enforced. Instead a whole another level of "Anti-Terror" laws are costing us our rights. It is an exact duplicate of the Gun Control issue. Instead of enforcing the law, the government is using lawbreaking as an excuse to strip us of rights.

We need to reach GWB at the electoral level. How do we do that?

Does anyone have any ideas? We know there are a lot of people concerned and want something done about it -

Support groups like JTF.org whose plan to save America includes:

POINT FIVE: An immediate end to all foreign immigration into the United States, combined with the complete expulsion of America's millions of illegal aliens and the stringent removal of her legal ones at the expiration of their work or residency visas.

If only our leaders could see through the identity politics rhetoric & interest group threats & recognize this fact.

US Citizens & their families, of ALL backgrounds, suffer when our immigration laws go unenforced.
