No business in Parliament until Musharraf quits
HYDERABAD: The US and its allies will continue to launch attacks on Muslim countries unless the Muslim countries forged unity among themselves and started Jihad against evil forces.
Chief of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Allama Shah Ahmad Noorani said this while addressing a huge public gathering as the 'Million March Rally' terminated at Kohinoor Chowk here on Monday. The rally started from Liberty Chowk, passed through various roads of the city and ended at Kohinoor Chowk, where the MMA leaders addressed the participants.
Tens of thousands of people from Jama'at-e-Islami, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan, Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F), Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (S), Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan participated in the rally. They carried banners and placards with slogans of "Allah-o-Akbar" and flags. They chanted slogans of Allah-o-Akbar and burnt the US flag and effigies of President Bush and British Premier Tony Blair. A large number of people from interior Sindh also participated in the rally, which also included woman and children.
The MMA leaders Allama Shah Ahmad Noorani, Qazi Husain Ahmed, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Allama Sajid Naqvi, Hafiz Husain Ahmad, Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, members of national and provincial assembly, Asadullah Bhutto, Sahibzada Zubair, Rahman Rajput, Allama Hasan Turabi, Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro, Abdul Waheed Qureshi addressed they huge rally.
Criticising the rulers Allama Noorani alleged that they bargained the autonomy and supremacy of the country with the United States. He said the US found traitors in Afghanistan in the shape of Northern Alliance and Kurds in Iraq. He said the US also had its friends in Pakistan who would offer all help to the US when the time comes. He said the MMA believed that whatever the US was doing in Iraq was terrorism, as hundreds of innocent people had been murdered and lashed out at the government for remaining tight-lipped.
Allama Noorani said the rulers handed over Arab Mujahideen to the US one by one and obtained huge amount of dollars from them. He declared that Jihad against Vajpaee, President Bush and traitors of Pakistan would continue.
Qazi Husain Ahmad warned the government that no business in the Parliament and running the government would be allowed unless President Musharraf quits the post of army chief and withdraws the LFO. Qazi said the MMA was a movement to form unity of Muslims at one platform and claimed that the alliance was getting stronger with the passage of time and would continue to struggle unless the true form of Islam was enforced in the country.
Qazi said President Musharraf would have to invite the MMA leadership for talks because dictatorship had come to an end and democracy had taken roots.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said with the conquering of Iraq the US had actually started a war against itself and. He said Iraq would also become a graveyard of the US solders in the same manner the Afghans were doing in Afghanistan.
Allama Sajid Naqvi said the US was looking toward Syria after occupying Iraq. He such threat for Muslim countries would remain unless they were not united. He said the US could prove none of the allegations levelled against Iraq.
Hafiz Husain Ahmed said unless the demands of the MMA regarding the LFO were not accepted the uniformed president would not be allowed to enter into the Parliament.
Sahibzada Abul Khair, Muhammad Zubair, Asadullah Bhutto, Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Allama Hasan Turabi and others also addressed the participants of the rally.

Muslims would be well served to ask themselves: "When has Jihad ever worked against Americans?"
But barring such honest soul-searching, I encourage them to attempt to solve their conflict with us through military means, rather than through decades of painful negotiations and diplomacy.
