Typically when moving on foot a unit can only travel as fast as its slowest member. Also, most women can't carry a full pack and someone else has to pick up the slack (or you can just leave the ammo or radios at base camp.)

Another problem is the added logistics of mixing women into a combat unit. If you have one woman you still have to provide separate sleeping tents, separate latrine facilities, etc.

The attitude that this is a good thing is misguided. You put the whole unit at risk in an attempt to be PC.
