SARS Scare Reaches South Texas LAST UPDATE: 4/25/2003 5:22:41 PM Posted By: Julie Fike

The SARS border scare reached all the way to Laredo. Border agents in South Texas near Freer Friday arrested 17 illegal immigrants. Six of them were Chinese. Agents took the six to a doctor’s hospital in Laredo. They were tested for SARS. Three of the six were given a clean bill of health.

The results are still pending on the other three. Laredo Immigration Assistant Chief George Gunnoe says he believes the final test results later Friday night. Gunnoe says the chances of them having SARS is very low. If all are clear of the disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome, they will immediately face deportation charges.

CDC and WHO have both said that a negative test dies not mean the person does not have SARS.

It just means that maybe the test was done too late, etc.

So, we really dont know if this batch of illegal Chinese has SARS or not.

In reality, the thousands of them that we dont know anything about are all part of the deal thatwill kill us all.

But maybe not until after the 30 % vote for Bush.

This is exactly what suicide al Qaeda might do. Get exposed to the disease and then come across our southern border. Then all they have to do is walk through crowded malls, airports, train stations, etc.

I sure don't get it. Why doesn't our government act on this?
States are in financial trouble and yet we can't even get a bill passed here in Minnesota to have a driver's license reflect an expired visa.

We are cutting rec center hours, summer school programs, libraries, police and firefighters. I understand the need to get rid of crazy government spending but let's cut the free medical care , schooling and benefits for illegals and non citizens before you cut the things for citizens.

They would be less likely to be immigrants though, because like here, the descendents of those early immigrants have done well. >>>>>>>>>

Yes, but I think about a month ago it was discussed on a thread, how mexico, had caught abt 40 (?) Asian illegals
working in mexico & they were going to be immediatly deported ?? Geez.....how broke were they ?? to stop & work in mexico. Sure hope my time's off & this was @ least SIX months ago this happened.

This may be a stupid question but here I go: Were they sick? Doesn't a person with SARS have some symptoms? Do we have to run a lab test to see if you have the flu or pneumonia. SARS is starting to look like a giant scam that requires a virus that only affects some people, is found in minute quantites in those that are infected and many many people with the symptoms doen't have the virus. Sounds like the HIV=AIDS scam version 2003 to me.

Where is the solid clinical evidence that the coronavirus is the cause of this particular flu? Have Koch's postulates been satisfied?

Still a SARS sceptic - InterceptPoint

Last I heard we STILL have no up & running "entry-exit" on
our visas.......remember WTC bombing 1993, that's how some
were here making that plan. Ten years later, the "evil-doers" came & remained, the SAME WAY, for the 9-11 attacks.
And the "war on terror" is supposed to last for years.

But, rest assured, I'm sure DC has come together, voted, passed a law, & found the money to protect a bird in a nest somewhere, just in the last couple days.

Doctor...I'm not...but I believe some are being locked-up
in China, to see if they come down with symptoms.

Help....Is there a Doctor on the thread ????

I read somewhere prior to the announcement of the coronavirus genome sequencing that Koch's postulates were satisfied on chimpanzees, but I doubt they have been on humans. If I find the link I'll post it...
