The film, whose full title has not yet been disclosed....

"Star Wars III: We Had To Come Up With A Final Installment"

....So George Could Finally Whore Himself Out Completely While Continuing to Not Give A Jawa's Ass About Plot or Story

Exactly right....but don't count on it. He readopted his franchise baby and doesn't seem to care what the fanbase thinks. Even some of the writers from the novels would be better....except that Chewie was recently killed off in one of them. And Lawrence Kasdan's recent effort with Stephen King's Dreamcatcher almost made me leave the theater.

Terrible reporting... errors in the article:

1. "bringing back the classic characters Chewbacca the Wookie, C-3PO and R2-D2" - C3P0 and R2D2 have been in all 5 movies... having them in the 6th movie isn't "bringing them back" in the same context as "bringing back" Chewbacca.

2. "to reprise their respective roles as sprightlier versions of their characters" - Chewbacca as "sprightly" - come on now!

3. "Daniel and Baker, the thespians have loaned their voice talents to puppet and motion-control versions of their characters" - R2-D2's "voice" is a bunch of electronic noises - not a voice characterized by an actor.

"Star Wars Episode III: The First II Were Explensive, Flashy, and Boring Filler"

I disagree... I think the prequel stories have filled in a lot of holes. I believe the next film will be the biggest Star Wars movie (in terms of sales) ever.

I think it will only totally be clear after the next film, but I don't like how they tried to explain the Force into a chemical steroid contained in the blood. On your second point, I think you are right, but $10 ticket prices accomplish that feat more than the story. And there are now 2 generations of SW fans...the first (classic trilogy) generation is gonna go regardless of how messed up the story is, and the second generation (prequel trilogy) don't know how mediocre it is. Which is my guess at one of the reasons why the classic trilogy isn't on DVD yet.

If not for the blatant attempt at a merchandising tie in with the zipper-backed Ewocks, RETURN OF THE JEDI would have been every bit as good as the first two.

I've not been disappointed with the recent "prequels." I realize my 36 year old mind will never process a new STAR WARS movie the way my 10 year old mind did in 1977.

I wasn't exactly an illbay fan, but I can think of some posters who deserve banning a lot more.

I'd pay good money for a scene in which Jar-Jar rattles on at length, inducing Chewie to grab him by the throat, growl some Wookiee "colorful idioms" (to mix mythologies for a bit) at him for a few seconds, heave him into the Millenium Falcon's airlock, and hit the switch.

Hack, I will have to agree with you somewhat on this,
however Illbay was great at starting a fight with no facts to back up his/her statements,
oh, well I'm sure it will be back with a different name.....
have a good one.

It wasn't to me. I have assiduously avoided any and all news concerning any spoilers of any kind for the Star Wars movie, including avoiding going to any Star Wars-related websites. Regardless of whether it is "old news", whenever anyone posts any info containing spoilers to state in the headline that they are giving out spoiler info, so those of us who choose to avoid it don't get the info thrown into our faces.

Common courtesy, really.

Kasdan is better suited as a writer, a subpar director. I suppose his best film was the cheesy but decent Grand Canyon. But his WRITING...ah. Empire and Jedi, Raiders 1 and 3, etc. The writers Lucas has now are not getting the job done.

Indeed. Older fans (like myself) had 20+ years of speculation and expectations that they wanted validated and fulfilled in The Phantom Menace. I knew better, but none of my companions that day did. Their disappointment verged on the riotous.
