American men use Russian women for self-affirmation. The latter seem to be liking this fact

Marriages between Russian women and American men are very successful and harmonious, Olga Makhovskaya, the senior research assistant at the Psychology Institute in Russia's Academy of Sciences says. When an American man switches from the model of American family where husband and wife are partners equal in rights to the model of an Orthodox family, he thus raises his own significance. In Orthodox families men are given more authority and are more respected. It is certainly an advantage for a man and raises his social and psychological status. In a word, American men seem to have tired of the feminism propagated by American women, and it is frequent that they seek Russian women to start families.

Russian wives in America give up the traditional model of the Russian Orthodox family which relieves them of a heavy burden of responsibility and gives a chance to have a normal life in a family where the range of responsibilities is more definite for them: children, family affairs and housekeeping. At that, Russian women enjoy more attention and support from husbands.

As psychologists say, now Russian men undervalue the essence of family. The whole of the burden, housekeeping, upbringing of children, earning of money are shifted onto women. And, at the time when Russian women have so much responsibilities, their husbands spend their time dozing in front of TV sets in desperate attempts to find out the meaning of life and to understand the truth of the universe. They merely disregard everyday problems that are essential for their families as they consider the above mentioned idle thinking to be of higher importance.

That is why, as Olga Makhovskaya thinks relations in families between Russian and American partners are more harmonious. Each party gets what it wants to have. Husbands get authority and status, and wives are given, in exchange, peace in family and well-being. "Families of this kind where husbands are Americans and women are Russians prove to be long-living, as the roles in the family are clearly distributed and the mechanism operates good, although these are mixed families. In such families each of the couple is ready to make concessions and on the whole, wonderfully performs the role."

In addition, as researches held by Olga Makhovskaya reveal, marriages between Chinese men and Russian women are also very successful. ?There are tens of thousands of such marriages in Russia's Primorye region in the Far East. Chinese men are hard-working, they don't abuse in alcohol drinking and bring their wages home. In a word, they have lots of advantages by contrast with Russian men." It is sad, but the researches don't mention for whom Russian men suit wonderfully.

Did you hear about the time Scott Salem's (Scott the Engineer from the Howard Stern show) wife wouldn't permit him to go to a NASCAR race in Bristol, TN? She does no work while Scott slaves at two jobs. Howard offered Scott a FREE weekend in Bristol but correctly predicted that Scott's wife wouldn't permit him to go. Scott got very angry and said he was DEFINETELY going. When a defeated and deflated Scott returned to the very next show, he said he couldn't go. At first he claimed his wife had nothing to do with the trip cancellation but under Howard's relentless inquisition, Scott finally admitted that his wife wouldn't allow him to go.

It was HILARIOUS to listen to the pathetic Scott but at the same time you had to feel sorry for the guy.

Americans Marry Russian Women. What For?

One of my co workers married a Russian woman, but I went to the Philippines for my south sea island beauty. Smartest thing I ever did.

I am not unsympathetic to the plight of these men looking for an old fashioned girl. Finding an old fashioned girl now is almost impossible unless she strives for the title.

I think most women are horrible, my husband calls me a woman hater but I have seen to much to blindly blame the male every time a marriage falls apart.

Some women today could care less if they are raising their kids in a pig pen, could care less if the kids have clean clothes to wear to school. To others faithfulness is a foreign concept. And the thing that irritates me the most about a certain type of woman control freak, is her constant discontent and depression that she makes some poor dope responsible to fix for her while she makes it her business to make that a mission impossible and never good enough.

As you can guess I don't have many women friends, lol.

This may explain the rapidly-declining birthrate in Russia.

I think the birth rates in Russia and Europe have long been declining because their societies encourage, to the point of really applying pressure on, women to get abortions.

What I'd like to see are not just figures on their birth rates, but side-by-side figures for their abortion rates. The tale would then be fully told.

It makes sense that if killing your children becomes acceptable, then marriage will decline in value. Marriage is first of all the basic unit for raising children.

I am wondering who will drink more at my wedding... the West Indians or the Italians. Either way, the Stout will be flowing freely I'm sure. There's nothing like alcohol to bring people together. My mom didn't have a problem down in the South with my dad BUT Florida isn't considered the South I hear. Florida is very multicultural,mixed raced.

Depends on where you live. When my mother first came to this country, she was afraid of all American men. She went out with one black American who as she said to me, 'wanted to take to his pad'. My mother not knowing what 'pad' meant jumped out of the car and the NYPD dropped her home. She didn't date again till she started working for my dad. It is a culture clash. Many Caribes have more in common with man white people than black. A lot of it is due to ignorance and also "jealousy". That is not all cases of course, but it's the majority. If you search FR there was a thread on a study of why West Indian and African blacks score higher on 'biased tests' and seem to fare 'better' than many black Americans. Personally speaking, I think black Americans way more open minded than yesterday. That's another thread altogether I suppose.
