No, they didn't. And they still don't. Gays and lesbians are second class citizens in this country, unfortunately. They aren't allowed to marry. They can get fired from their jobs if their boss find out their gay.

Are you ill-informed or just pretending to be? Homosexauls are as free to marry as anyone else. They just have to marry a person of the opposite sex, just as everyone else does when they marry. And in most places in the US it is illegal to fire someone because they are homosexual. Damn, in Californina now it is illegal to fire someone or not hire them even if they are a cross dresser or transvestite!

That's like saying if there was a law outlawing white people to marry eachother and you saying "it's ok. You can marry just like anyone else. Just marry someone who's black, asian.. anyone other than another white person." How funny! :)
